I will be meeting with a psychiatrist and not this guy, thank god. I think he was getting out over his skis.

I had an intake with a new mental health practice and the LCSW who evaluated me asked if I had experienced trauma as a child because women who are diagnosed with ADHD as adults all have trauma. He was very skeptical of my denials. Then he recommended The Body Keeps the Score.

I’ve been given a broad spectrum twice in the past 2 months to no avail. The nurse I saw this time said it wasn’t worth trying another one until we knew what bacteria it is. I think she assumed the results would have come in earlier, too.

I finally got the results of my urine culture but nobody seems to be interested in treating me. I just need an antibiotic. That’s it! I may go to urgent care tomorrow and start the process all over again. Worth it if I leave with some pills.

A few months ago Phil asked “what if I could retire early?” We sketched out some dates and called it Plan A. Here we are. Tomorrow is his last day and the house closes on the 7th. He will join me on the 10th and then we’ll start a new adventure!

The Chinese American teens in my last library almost universally had “American” names in addition to their Chinese name. (I knew siblings who were Nicholas and Nicole, which was confusing.) The Indian American kids all had Indian names.

Oh! I meant to tell you that I have a coworker who looks like he’s wearing eyeliner just like JD Vance! I even directed my eyeballs in the direction of his eyeballs to doublecheck. He is not wearing makeup but the effect of long dark lashes and bright blue eyes really does make it seem that way.
