Wish I could post everyday but life has a way of interfering with best intentions 😇 Click on this to view it in full. A couple of Bigg’s Orcas hunting a seal up Johnstone Strait off Vancouver Island. (Canvas print available via my website) #photography #EastCoastKin #whales #vancouverisland

It’s been a day but managed to get home in time to post for #Scape that #EastCoastKin is hosting. My contribution is of Mt. Baker that looks like it’s just there but is actually way the hell gone over there across the Salish Sea farther inland. I was at Neck Pt Park, Nanaimo Vancouver Island

Going all dramatic with this red wing black bird, this morning. Again, I’ve layered textural images with my main subject image. #EastCoastKin #birds #CanadianBirding #photography #nikon #artistsonbluesky

My shot of this great horned owl is just to let you know that I am trying to figure out this new platform with interest, intensity, and humour #addBirder #CanadianBirding #ShareMonday2025 #birds #EastCoastKin #photography

So another one of my texture layer pieces. And of course I’m a day late in joining in…it’s one of my strengths 🤷‍♀️😏 Title: cross my heart… #BlueSkyArtShow #bird #heron #photography

One of my images done with texture layering…which is what I usually do. I printed him on a metallic canvas which just gives the whole an amazing depth. Title: hum-dinger… #birds #hummingbirds #artonbluesky #photography #painterlyphotography

A male Anna’s hummingbird perched on a branch. Image is painterly because of texture layering.

This one is better if you click on it to see all of it. Can’t figure out how to post different sizes as I’ve seen others do 🤷‍♀️. So. This is another shot from Ucluelet. Thinking I’ll print this on metallic canvas and mount it on gallery wood panel. #surf #green #photography #beach

The best shot, hands down, I’ve ever done of one of my beasties. This was Lewis. A true gentleman who has been greatly missed for 7 years, now. #photography #fineartphotography #cats

Went to Ucluelet (aka Ukee) last week. Found some bull kelp and waves. This image has a few texture layers added. Discovered I cannot be too chatty on my posts...it’s limited characters 😱🤷‍♀️😏 #bullkelp #goldenlight #photography #fineart #artistonbluesky

Hey! First post! Quick intro…photographer and painter. Will post both. My photography, which this piece is, has a painterly look done with layering textural images with the subject image. … #artistsonbluesky #fineart #photography
