That sounds perfectly reasonable. Also, “about my age“ includes people my children graduated HS with because they all aged illegally. Nobody gave them permission to get this old so fast. I was lucky, my dad lived to be nearly 90 but I lost my husband & my children lost their father when he was roughly the age your dad was. He never got to retire, never got to meet all his grandchildren. Too old to be considered young and yet far too young to die. Sorry you had this in your life too.

Truth used to matter. It’s not that politicians *didn’t* lie - but they did at least have to tell a plausible lie or involve a lot of people in a fragile cover up. I seldom eat beef so it’s not a hardship for me to just disregard it due to price and safety. But the produce bit has me worried. I really rely on my fruits and veggies and I especially love salads so losing out on eating raw produce would be tough on me. I’m really lucky to live near a Costco.

I have a daughter who is 100% tube fed. For her entire life I’ve had to endure glares from strangers when we would go to a restaurant without ordering her food. Rude stares & evangelicals stopping us to recruit or pray for us is a constant theme. We had to develop a thick skin. I feel ya.

This isn’t true. Just bc you believe everyone you know locks their doors doesn’t mean the vast majority of people you don’t know also 100% lock their doors. You may be right in a majority of cases but I personally know I’ve accidentally neglected to lock my door. Once I left it wide open by mistake.

Same. I’ve never had a door that locked on it’s own. All my doors require me to turn a bolt after I’m inside. A couple of mornings I woke up & noticed that I slept all night with my door unlocked because a guest let themselves out or I came into the house with hands full & forgot to lock the door.
