My dad grew up in Laurel. By 1942, he was in North Africa or en route. He described a lynching in St. Joseph, MO, his mom’s home town, as one of the most traumatic experiences of his life — and he saw a lot of WWII.

A federal officer can be impeached for bribery, treason, and high crimes and misdemeanors. Treason is defined as waging war against the United States( e.g. Minnesota), or giving aid and comfort to its enemies. “Enemy” is not defined, but I contend waging cyberwar against our elections, is enough.

My suspicion is that a majority of the justices were in on January 6. Thomas’s wife was a sponsor. Alito, per testimony, was lined up to stay the vote confirmation. 3 were active in Bush v. Gore, when SCOTUS chose the president.

Definitely agree. And I’m a Harvard lawyer. And an ex-Federalist. The Court has been illegitimate at least since Bush v. Gore. And the network described is insidiously undemocratic. 2 justices from the same DC prep school? 8 justices from Ivy League law schools. Come on.

The decision in Trump v. US is the worst in the history of the nation. Shelby County, Citizens United, and Rucho, are right up there. Taney had one horrendous decision. Roberts has over a dozen.
