ProRef serves as both a university for referees and as their union, while VAR is the technology tasked with correcting bad refereeing decisions. ProRef operates VAR. Now do you see which acronym is the real problem?

I disagree Strip them of honours and then preserve and protect that statue to serve as a monument to their criminal stupidity.

Its absolute nonsense mate. Have you not noticed how all the supposed threats are only being revealed in right wing newspapers? Its just a last gasp play to keep their influence.

Utter nonsense. Its leaving a club that constructively cheated throughout an entire generation in place that will devalue the Premier League, just as the last 20 years are now in question. There is no effective punishment for a club owned by a nation state without fully dismantling their ambition.

Man City charges: Premier League executives would be 'staggered' if clubs vote for expulsion as punishment
Sky Sports News understands that discussions remain ongoing within, and between, the bosses of other clubs in the Premier League about how they might react to developments in the Man City case; Citys ...

I cant even remember where the article I read was from (likely BBC or Sky) but in the Premier Leagues own words: "The League has established an independent Judicial Panel, comprising a number of legal, financial and other experts" So guess its best guess as names are redacted on the report.🤷‍♂️

Growing suspicion theres a campaign of misinformation starting in the press today and that selected outlets actually dont have an interest in the facts or the truth. Which, is not entirely unpredictable and it certainly isnt from the heart or out of loyalty as traditionally they have neither.🤢

Now do it with the Abu Dhabi flag on the floor!😂

Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
If Abu Dhabi think it can sue by proxy maybe the onus should be on the 19 to agree to refuse to fulfil fixtures against them. At this point it should only take one to start the ball rolling.

It really does and youre right, expulsion is going to be a big ask, someone will have to convince the 15 to put common good over personal fear that the precedent may bite them in the arse down the line. But it really shouldnt be a big ask when fan reaction seems to support expulsion.

I originally thought it crazy to not have a majority vote on the panel but the more Ive thought on it the more it looks a well thought decision. When this goes to appeal, there will be no dissenter for City to lean on or exploit, just 3 guys with complete conviction in their own assessment.

Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Its also why the report was so damning and strongly worded, there was no dissenting opinion that required the language to be tempered. 2 lawyers in a room with 10000 pages taking advice from an accountant so busy reconstructing accounts that if he wasnt bald then, likely is now. 😂

Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Dunno who told you that bud but its not what Ive read, there were two lawyers highly experienced in sports law and the other member was a forensic accountant. The reason for the time taken was that when the 2 experts disagreed they had to reach consenting opinion because the third wasnt a lawyer.

I dont think that right Marit. They can appeal the verdict now before the sanctions are decided then after sanctions are required and decided they can appeal the sanctions. When all that fails they finally get to waste high court time for a judge to probly point out they agreed to the rules.

Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Sounds daft to even say this but I think Citys only hope lies with the high court because Alison Brittain sounds like shes the real deal and ready to treat Abu Dhabi with absolutely every ounce of contempt that theyve earnt.
020
Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Dunno what that says but 15 clubs to expell and a majority vote from the 72 to allow them into the football league. Prem vote maybe passes if Brittain can cajole them, else not as owners will fear the precedent they set, while a FL vote likely fails without agreement on redistribution of wealth.

Fiinding it difficult to summon any serious interest in the rest of this season, and those comments certainly dont help when relegation wouldnt even be a punishment.

"Ferran Soriano, the club's chief executive, has suggested the case will run for a long time." - BBCSport. Ferran Soriano belives his club is innocent so why the hell are the BBC printing his opinions liike theyre a guide?

I kinda like the idea of posting into a team community where the popular posts them move to a league community. But I suspect that would need AI to help organise, European football would be a big task to organise.

It didnt compute when Chelsea bought the entire ManUtd shortlist and time proved it so, and it only needed time to be vindicated for feeling that City were cheating on an industrial scale. Sorry no-ones falling for the media victory routine. We have LEDs now, noone buys gaslights anymore.

It wasnt the drawing of a numbered pingpong ball that attracted Rui Pinto to hack ManCity but that nagging feeling fans all shared that jounalists set aside for 17 seasons. That the numbers involved simply dont fit, that a 50K stadium couldnt possibly support the fees and that size of wage bill.

Sorry its just not media scrutiny that "winkled out" the truth if only one or two journalists had the integrity to confront Guardiola. The media have been complicit in Citys cheating, falling over themselves to congratulate the owners and salivating at every opportunity to praise Guardiola.

I understand the feeling, knowing that City are guilty to the extent they are means theres limited consequence to results this season and exceptions can be draw, The Premiership moving forward this season is all rather pointless.

The 40 page report actually makes for even worse reading. Not only did AD falsify and inflate commercial deals, there appears to also be evidence they revisited and modified their values on the occasions where the club still fell short of FFP compliance.

Andy Mann Footy Fan @amff.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
HMRC should in fact be over-paid so theyve no beef. Since the fabrication was that City were making more money than they really were they will have faced a higher tax bill than the true figures would have produced, and you can bet your house AD paid that bill promptly to evade scrutiny,

No. Its impossible to show accounts that prove City were inside or outside of controlled finances because expected debts have been wiped out in the past. There simply is no choice but to fully reset the club its finances are fictional.

It doesnt even end here, UEFA has to be considering its own integrity too and I can see a restricition on the nuumber of English clubs fitting like a glove given existing financial disparity. At the least the Premier League has to have lost all chance at a 5th team in the Champions League now.🤔

My god the evidence is even unimaginable, a 750 page index to a core bundle of over 10,000 documents. Its worse than the worst case scenario, and still going on. This season is a washout, we cant continuue for another 8 months while knowing the sheer scale of the offence still impacts results.

The cheating is on a level of near unfathomable consequence. They havent just cheated, theyve directly impacted every single European top flight club in the last 20 years. Every player they signed caused a domino effect through entire leagues. Even the harshest punishment doesnt fit the crime.

Thanks Miguel keep on them. Said elsewhere expulsion isnt enought it will taint the football league. AbuDhabi banned, revoke academy1 status, and offer players contract terminations, sell the club with a place in the conference. Make them earn the EFL or its integrity will be lost too.

Suprised Berada hasnt tapped his old club for advice. Theyre so financially adept they magicked £830.69m out of thin air. And they didnt even need to say Alakazam or Abracadabra.

They cheated by £830.69M. Almost a Billion Pounds of repeatedly falsified records, Expulsion is nowhere near enough punishment they should be expelled from the entire football league. 🤬🤬🤬

Thats exactly why I predicted after their spending in the winter window that a verdict was coming in the summer. Its insnity they then allowed them to continue spending. Although a real punishment will include optional contract terminations and in that case its up to players to get real.

But then thats symptematic of the original problem. The Premier League have never once been able to put 2 and 2 together. It took Uefa to send them boxes and boxes of info headed 4 before they realised it was the answer. 😂 {Imagines PL exec reading 4 and instinctively ducking.🤪🤦‍♂️}

Seems theyre not going to until theyve decided the punishment. Incredible to me that in over 2 years the Premier League never once thought about having investigation and punishment teams work concurrently.

I honestly dont think they will. I think theyve tied the premiership up in non cooperation so long its going to backfire on them because now the premiership has 3 seperate cases of appeal experience. My worry is punishment is only being ejected and they then ruin the integrity of championship too.
