Silence is complicity. I refuse to be complicit.

In times such as these it's important to remember that anyone who lives in the United States of America has rights provided by the Constitution. No matter their immigration status, how they speak or what they look like. #knowyourrights

Another accurate and timely passage from Erasing History: How Fascists Rewrite the Past to Control the Future by Jason Stanley. Trump's war on "DEI" includes the effort to remake what can be taught at all levels of education about the racist history of the US #fascism #diversityequityinclusion

Zero lies told here. The nomination and subsequent confirmation of Hegseth makes it clear that attacks on DEI have nothing to do with the role of merit in hiring. Trump's nominees are chock full of unqualified people.

I noticed the flag on my way home and it somehow seemed fitting as much of the nation is in mourning. We have always been far from the aspirations expressed in our founding documents. But in less than a week we have regressed a great deal.
