Garnier asked for the question to be restated. This is the administrative leave-with-pay report. That report used to have dates, but now it does not. After discussions, the board has asked for the dates to be returned week after week and the dates are still not there.

Watts is asking Warfield to remind the public about the process for filing a citizen complaint. She said this is the administrative path citizens need to take in order for BOPC to conduct oversight Warfield said you can do this online or in person at any precinct

DPD said that they are currently working through the report Warfield sent over this week, and they will work to get Camille the outstanding report that she is requesting. Woods said the disciplinary committee needs to meet ASAP to resolve these issues

The report DPD Battersby is talking about refers to last week's reports on the number of cases transferred out to a different agency and a report on command-level officers who had complaints against them. That was sent to DPD upon request.

Warfield said Camille is referring to a report that the dept. puts out after sustained disciplinary cases are released. He said a couple of those reports have made their way to the board.

Woods said that this request is very outstanding and there is a major gap. DPD said they have not received these reports for months, and Warfield sent some over upon request The charter says the chief should receive those findings from OCI on a monthly basis and they have not been.

Camille said Woods is correct. She said at the beginning of the year, Garnier said the board would be getting this report, and the report was pulled and adjustments were being made. But now in October, that report has not been delivered and she doesn't understand the delay?

Dunning said the Brotherhood/Sisterhood program meets with children who have had negative experiences with police and hosts a restorative justice circle. This has been around since 2018 and Commissioner Woods has contributed his time, Dunning said. Morris said he wants to support.

There is a community 10-mile bike ride on Oct. 15 and Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. Block club presidents will be meeting with officers and they will walk the community together; that initiative will kick off soon

Camille said she would like patrol officers to be supplied with DDOT bus tickets. She said this should be easy to find a grant to complete and would prove a valuable resource to the community Williams said this will be looked into and thinks it can happen

Williams says, in addition to gun locks and boxes, the most important key is education. No child should be able to get their hands on a weapon, he said.

Williams said there is no way to know if the gun locks distributed are actually being used, but it is an effort at mitigation. He thinks gun boxes may prove to be a funding issue, but that can be looked into. Her other questions will be investigated, and answers will be brought back to the board.

Camille is also asking about body-worn camera footage being released to the public. She applauded the fast response in the shooting of a minor. She wants to know how confident DPD is that residents are using the gun locks being distributed.
