Think I just exposed how poor my Shiny Legendary luck is in Pokémon Go. Legendaries encountered: 147 (approximately) Shiny Legendary total: 6 So instead of the general 1/20, my luck is closer to 1/25 😭

My 4* luck is also really odd. I have 4 4* Legendaries and all of them are psychic type. In fact the majority of my hundos are either Psychic or Grass type. No shundos unfortunately, although I have a shinety-eight event pikachu.

As a long-time #PokemonGO player who only started to play seriously over the past year or so, my Legendary Shiny luck is really random. I have more shiny legendaries from wild encounters (G. Moltres, G. Articuno & Tornadus) than I have from raids (Giratina & Rayquaza).

It seems clear to me that Metroid Ravenous is the end of a trilogy that started with Fusion back in 2002. 1-3 is the "Hunter", "Orange Suit" or "Metroid" trilogy. 4-6 is the "Hunted" or "Blue Suit" or "X Parasite" trilogy.

the cool thing about switch online is that most people watching that direct will have it to play splatoon or whatever, but if metroid ravenous interested them then they can just play super metroid immediately. that is good

He isn’t fully wrong tho lol. NEStroid is absolutely worth a try, but I would never recommend it to someone first getting into the series, especially when Zero Mission / Super do a lot similar and function much better. It's like the epitome of this meme.

Minor Spoilers: Basically, Metroids are parasites that leech the energy of animals and kill them. Samus had to take a vaccine that used Metroid DNA, fundamentally altering her own DNA. By the end of Dread, the Metroid DNA has begun to fully manifest, giving her Metroid powers leading into Ravenous.

I think that the later reveals in Fusion and Dread will hit harder if you play them last, however I dont think its that deep. Personally my order made absolutely no sense. I went from Prime > Prime 2 > Super > Dread > Fusion > Zero Mission > Prime 3 > Samus Returns > Prime 4

Just to note, these are ranked within their tiers. Honestly I think a replay of Metroid Prime 2 & Metroid Zero Mission could see them going higher. I just had issues with them during my first time around.

The issue with Directs now is that Nintendo has really started to push back against announcing first party games a year or more in advance. Unless its coming within 8 or so months, Nintendo likely won't announce it, which has its up and down sides.
