I spent a ton of time on the encarta mind maze. Honestly I'd still play a trivia based dungeon crawler if somebody made one

title screen of encarta mind maze. Art of a castle with a jester, nun, dragon, pirate ship, a sneaky guy behind a tower, and a crescent moon in the sky. Was more or less a trivia based dungeon crawler

Minor spoilers I guess, but at least in the Maximum Carnage comic, the city is infected with bad vibes making everyone violent, and later Captain America shows up to help with his positive vibes:

a man is about to smash a window with a brick. Cap shows up behind him and he drops the brick and apologizes

Peter Dickinson's Changes Trilogy. One day everyone in Great Britain renounces modern (well as of the 60s or so) technology and reverts back to a middle ages lifestyle. With weird and unsettling results.

love the xenogenesis trilogy, and glad it has a library of america edition, but the 90s cover is so much more rad:

the earth and moon in space in the background, while an alien, (kid of grey looking but with hair )has their arm on the shoulder of a woman
