I just added a vacuum cleaner sound to ambiph.one and I'm taking bets on how long before I have to change this icon for being too baffling to anyone outside the British isles

Sound activation button labelled 'Vacuum cleaner' featuring a cylindrical vacuum with a smiling cartoon face

Live police radio is now live on @ambiph.one! Give it a try and let me know what you think. More cities coming soon. Here's a mix to start you off - police radio chatter with ambient music: ambiph.one?m=1-Ambient+...

This was broken on iOS Safari before but it should be working now. If you're an iPhone person please give it a go and report back 🫡 (Depending on when you start listening you might need to wait a little bit before you start hearing messages - some times are busier than others)

I listened to this mix all the time when I was building Ambiphone. You'll have to provide your own "tourist screaming cause a seagull stole their chips", sorry ambiph.one?m=1-Seaside+...

Please try it out and let me know what you think! Testing them in saved mixes etc would be really helpful too Thanks very much to broadcastify.com for giving me permission to use their feeds in Ambiphone

Do you want to test a new Ambiphone feature? "YES!", I hear you scream? I'm adding live emergency services radio channels which you can mix with any other sound in Ambiphone You can try it out now on test.ambiph.one - scroll to 'Live emergency services' (or search 'live')

"I'm autistic and the stream running and low bass rumble are very comforting to me and help drown out other sounds in my environment."

"I use it while studying and working on my PC in general. Sometimes I turn off the ambient radio and put on a separate radio (usually jazz or house music, not my normal genres but great to work to) thru a different website (radiogarden, etc.)"

Earlier this year I asked people who love Ambiphone to share their favourite mixes with me. Here's a lovely one from Piper:
