DeKalb finally had some cute ones when I early voted last week! Not werewolf level but something new!
Three different voting stickers from the state of Georgia. One has an anthropomorphized peach with a megaphone yelling “I VOTED!!!” Another shows a small mountain, dogwood tree, building with columns and some type of bird with the text DeKalb County Georgia. The last is the standard GA sticker with a peach and the text “I’m a Georgia Voter” and “I secured my vote”.

darth did you know that elephants sleep grouped together around the smallest ones to protect them? It looks like this! (photo by me in Chobe National Park, Botswana, 2022)
A group of at least 10 African elephants grouped very close together leaning on each other and against a tree, with the smallest elephants at the center so they are surrounded and protected by the larger elephants

I didn’t realize the my voter page had notifications for every time you vote and this is very funny to me for some reason
A screenshot of the Georgia My Voter Page showing three notifications. All of them are messages that say “You have received credit for voting!” With the date of the election noted.

Yeah there’s a reason that one is in the “we have questions” part of the conspiracy chart
2021 Conspiracy Chart by Abbie Richards: an inverted triangle with five sections escalating from “grounded in reality” to “detached from reality.” “Epstein didn’t kill himself” is at the bottom of the second section, labeled “we have questions.” It’s above the Speculation Line but below Leaving Reality and very far from the Antisemitic Point of No Return.

I need @oldenoughtosay.bsky.social to do one of her regional food polls to investigate what people think is inside the crust in a stuffed crust pizza because I have to tell you I did not get what I (American) was expecting from this Scottish hotel room service menu
24 hour room service menu including a “Stuffed crust margherita pizza” for £15

I had Duke of My Heart on my TBR (likely from a previous FM episode) already and this nudged me to download it (thanks, Hoopla!), and damn this is a hell of an opening.
Chapter One
London, February 1819
The silk was the color of sin.
It shimmered where the candlelight danced across its surface, its rich crimson and sumptuous garnet hues swirling in the cascading lengths. The silken ribbon was wide, its superior quality was evident, and it must have been expensive, a luxury only the very wealthy could afford. On the brim of a bonnet, it would have been impressive. On the bodice of a ball gown, it would have been spectacular.
Wrapped around the limbs of a dead earl, however, it was a
problem.

Jimmy Carter said he wanted to outlive the last guinea worm on earth, and while he didn’t quite make it, it was so close it must have been almost unimaginable when the Carter Center eradication effort began in 1986.
Screenshot from cartercenter.org showing a provisional count of 7 reported global guinea worm cases from January 1 to November 12, 2024. The text adds that “When the Carter Center began leading the international campaign to eradicate guinea worm disease in 1986, there were an estimated 3.5 million cases in at least 21 countries in Asia and Africa. Today that number has been reduced by more than 99.99%.”
