on writing basics than usual. I've sighed and backed out of fics because it would jump from present to past tense and back again, and be peppered with spelling errors. I think people also worry way more now about writing morally grey people or dislikeable characters, but bsd *IS* morally grey.

YES or the joke fics. The lack of editing was the first thing that started making me skip over fics in large amounts, then it was the descriptions that were literally just "OMGGG this is so shit I don't know why I wrote this." It also feels like a lot more of the young writers lack knowledge

There is nothing that turns me off to a fic more than reading the first sentence and see: "I opened my eyes slowly..." but don't see a tag anywhere mentioning that it's going to be told in my perspective.

I normally read fics before bed but lately I spend more time tacking on filters of content I’ve realized I don’t want to see than I do actually reading. I don’t know, sometimes I wish a different fandom caught my eye, this one feels a little stale. I know I’m the problem here, I just needed to vent.

I need to vent into the void: 1. The current drought of good DaChuu fics feels miserable, I usually found art inspo from fics but it’s *rough* going through the SKK tag. 2. First person pov fics should have a jumpscare warning. 3. Looking at my art makes me sad because I feel nothing toward it 🥲

Omggg Vikkie (and Emily). This chapter was filled with the communication they needed for so long and it feels like I was able to relax my jaw finally because they FINALLY TALKED but weren’t trying to one-up each other. This was wonderful. Also, does it feel better to get comments directly on AO3?
