This year's PixelJoint #pixelween comp is all spooky portraits. My entry this week is a werewolf soldier guy. Tried it twice and went with the more wolfy one in the end

A soldier in a tattered red uniform to which he's tied metal armor pieces for added protection, topping it off with an antique helmet. Quite clearly some sort of werewolf.

My #pixelart entry for PSICOZINE, an italian fanzine! 124x180px, 22 colors I originally meant to animate it, but I am pc-less atm. Bronzong is one of my faves - I love bronzes from the Yayoi period in general. Recently, I also developed a huge love for the bronze art of Sangxingdui, Guanghan.

$A pixel art of the pokemon Bronzong and Bronzor. The steel/psychic pokemon is embedded in an intricate frame wall, perfectly shaped around him. Two Bronzor are located at its sides. The dark temple is lit by a bright flame contained in a horned urn right below Bronzong. This round brazier is shaped like the headpiece of the legendary pokemon Ting-Lu. The bright flame causes all sorts of reflections and color diffractions: from the warm light to the characteristic shades of oxidated bronze, with purple and cold reflections as well. Upon further inspection, the rich frame carvings reveal many historiated scenes: below bronzong there's a lunette holds stylized figures of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. Above the two Bronzor, embedded in the frame, the silhouettes of Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit. On the higher part of the structure, right above Bronzong, the effigy of Arceus, lit by a cold light.$

Trying to get back into pixelart again. Family problems have been sapping my will to do creative stuff for most of this year. My plan: quick landscapes with fun colour combinations. Plus: more scary castles (or cathedrals) on hilltops, since I enjoyed that the last time I tried it.

Mina the Hollower is out! I was going to just make a quick sprite, but I got a bit carried away and just ended up making a full on high-res mockup instead. Haven't even got around to playing the final release! Gotta fix that.

Zelda aesthetic doesn't gets old. Anyway as of latest brainstorming, if this game becomes a thing, it sounds like we're going with drum roll... killing an enemy transforms you into that enemy. Undecided on how long the transformation would last. Maybe time limit or monster mana usage... something.

On the ground, from right to left : 2 little korrigans are drawing children drawing on the mech, standing on the root of the tree the robot is resting on. One is sleeping in the driver helmet, while 2 others are scheming to wake them up using big nails as hammers on the helmet. A lil korrigan with a big net is trying to catch a lullaby. On the tree, a small dragon that mostly looks like a lizard with wings and a long neck is climbing. A korrigan is climbing after it, trying to catch it. In the distance, in a hole on the tree, a grumpy owl is looking at the spectacle.

Hermit #pixelart My actual current project is the PixelJoint annual Secret Santa. I decided to take a break and finish up something from my WIPs folder. This guy was originally made for a lighting test. The lighting didn't work out, but now I've given that rough-out a more conventional rendering.
