Importantly, we advocate for the practical expansion or alteration of visitation policies to ensure the greatest number of visits during a prison stay. Social support systems are crucial across many contexts.

We find that high-rate visits in the year before release is associated with lower odds of major/minor parole violations in the year after release, but has a lukewarm relationship with misconduct preceding release. We argue that a possible threshold effect is present that requires further attention.

🚨 New JQ pub with @tckulig.bsky.social (and Morgan Goslar, MA) explores measurement invariance and latent classes across 10 ACEs among sample of 993 young, non-college educated women. Then, ACE profiles used as correlates for stalking & sexual harassment for White, Black, and Hispanic women.
