130 hours into Baldur's Gate. The story I was most invested in (Astarion) is now complete. Post-game depression is setting in. Like the final page of a good book, or ending a relationship; a small death. Greatest game I ever played. I felt bright, childish wonder I never hoped to feel again.

At a memorial service today. My dad is the youngest of 6, and we lost one of his siblings today. I realized today that being the children of the youngest, while we missed many of the stories of the old days, we will be around for all the funerals.🌱🌲🌳🌱

I've been reading a ton, but nothing thread-worthy - until this week! Book of Lost Things by John Connolly A story about grief. A little boy is lost in a dark land of re-imagined fairy tales. VERY dark - not for kids! Beautifully written and fantastically creative. I was inspired.

Today I pulled a few wild mustard plants (invasive here) growing in the meadow between my condo and the golf course. No gloves, oops - my hands swelled and I broke out in hives. I also wrote quite a bit on my fantasy story and took a 2 hour nap. Not bad for a work day! #amwriting #gardening
