Game nights with my family do something for my soul. It can be hard to do the “normal” things when everything around us is on fire, but it’s important, too. My kids will have enough residual trauma from this, they deserve some peace.

I have a tendency to bury my head in the sand when it comes to current events. It creates so much tension and anxiety in me that sometimes it’s easier not to look. On the flip side, I am often playing catch up and feeling that I haven’t done enough. While also feeling like what I do won’t matter.
