I will just never understand the popularity. So perplexing. In addition the what you said, I also think the language is so limp and lifeless.

When I went to a birthday party at an arcade 13, everyone got mad at me because I used our last 25 cents to play Ahead by a Century on the jukebox instead of Offspring's Come out and Play, which was apparently the cool new song everyone else knew about. Okay. I think history is on my side here.

Those sections actually took me a few reads to really start to appreciate, but eventually I've come to think theyre such a valuable element.

And how evocative the language is. Such a wonderful contrast between the often ugliness of the content and the beauty of the writing.

I originally thought RayGun just wasn't very good at break dancing. Then I started the documentary and said, Oh, i wonder if there's more to this. And then I finished the documentary and realized no, she just wasn't very good at break dancing.

Patrick Lane's RED DOG, RED DOG at the start of my third year of university. I think it was the perfect bridge between where I was coming from and where I was going.

Yet another cancelled Great Western Railway train. I can't remember the last GWR journey i had that wasn't cancelled, delayed, or overfull to the point of people sitting in the aisles. I genuinely think that such pathetic mismanagement of a public utility/service should result in jail time.

My wife was waiting for me in the pub after work. Opposite her was an older couple who both ate fish and chips. They finished, the wife left, and one of the man's mates arrived. They chatted a bit and then ordered two fish and chips. The guy caught my wife's eye and just winked. Incredible.

HALF MAN - okay, sure, but the other half must also be another, much older man. This guy's home room had to get him a special chair with lumbar support. He remembers the Boer War. He calls America and Canada "the colonies."

Obviously a disappointing result. No one likes to see the bad guys win. But I'm so impressed by #teamcanada for the game they played. It was such an entertaining and exciting and edge-of-your seat game. Loved it for every second but the last.

That goalie interference call was laughable but doesn't change the fact that Canada was never in that game at all. Disappointing result, but there's more hockey to come.
