Hey #kidlitwriters, here’s a podcast episode I recommend! For example, ar minute 20:50, Karen gives some fun off-the-page writing exercises to get to know your characters better. (I always like the IDEA of these little exercises but then I never actually do them… maybe this time I will!)

Just posted my 214 word story to the VALENTINY writing contest! The prompts were "superstition" and "Valentine's Day". It's called "The Kachi-Kachi," which means dragonfly in Quechua. When I lived in the Peruvian Andes, the Quechua women always said that kachi-kachis were symbol of renewal.
