I’m generally a fan of urban wildlife and find it all very fascinating, but I have just learned that the west end has a lot of skunks and I’m not a fan of that 🦨 Soccer practice has become quite stinky!

Reading a game story from 1996 about Edgar Martinez scoring from first on a double and I enjoy that every time a writer described Edgar running, they wrote that he was chugging around the bases or chugged all the way home.

I think I bake more than the average person, and there are very few baking spices where I get through a whole bottle in a year. Cinnamon is an exception, of course, but something like allspice? Never. And yet I dutifully replace it each year.

I love my kids’ sports in a way I did not anticipate. Practices, games, meets, everything. 8 year old has been playing on teams nonstop since April. He absolutely loves it. I’m staring down 3 weeks left in this soccer season and I am ready for a break! It’s been a lot of weeknights and Saturdays!

This is the key to low-stress fandom anyway. The team doesn’t care what you think about literally anything, so just let them do what they’re gonna do and cheer for the players. Or don’t. You have free will! Idk, there’s so much to be mad about, I can’t expend the energy toward a baseball team.

I really appreciate the level of baseball horniness here because I feel like my teenage years were filled with people accusing me of only liking baseball because the players were hot, and it’s just very nice to be somewhere where you can like baseball and think the players are hot at the same time.

It’s honestly so nice that the kids are older and can do things for themselves. The physical work of parenting is so much less now. We spent a lot of time just hanging out, eating junk food, and watching movies. It was actually pretty great.
