Hasn't France overtaken the US for providing the overwhelming of intelligence to Ukraine?

They up today. So is labour but it looks like Reform are benefiting from a drop for Restore and Tories.

What if they turned out to peace activists? I remember a bunch snuck into the base before the Iraq invasion and spiked the ground crew vehicles with sugar. Or, even better, what if it turned out to be a bunch of lads hare corsing?

They're being released on bail! What if it turns out they're peace activitists? I remember they spiked the engines of the ground crews at Fairford before the Iraq war. Or it turns out they're just some lads doing hare corsing? So who the hell was Trump talking to?

I don't think it's virtue signalling to racists. I think it's really tone death and stupid. Like, nó one at any point went, "Wait guys. Does this look dodgy?"

Well, people need to do something then. Not enough to wring your hands online. If a bunch of covid-denying lunatics could arrange a protest, then so can people enraged at what BBC news has become.

Mostly because they have a majority. Look at the recent AD vote. It's too big a majority.

Actually, it's a good marketing campaign. They have linked Reform as the party of the ultra-wealthy elite. And given how people feel about a wealth tax (64% or there abouts in favour), this is a good message.

amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 12/09/2026
Actually, this is smart on there part. I doubt they think they'll find 72 million, but what it does is help undermine Farage's man of the people image. They are telling people Reform are bought and paid for by crypto billionaire bastards.

Please do something. Complain, protests the BBC, something. Because it looks like all that happens is someone writes a thing that gets thrown into the ether.

Are people going to shake there heads or will the do something. Hell, send in a complaint. Clog their complaints system. Phone, email write but do something.

No, it isn't. It's just a soft boiled statement that ignores the amount of time and energy thousands of people pour into their beliefs.

Einstein never said this. What you've done is taken a buzz phrase, slapped it over a picture of a celebrated intellectual, and tried to pass it off. It's no different than people who cliam the Einstein quote about God or a fish climbing a tree.

Dear lord, but this is giving r/atheism vibes. Isn't the whole point, of all the Commandments, all the teachings, is that we Love God, Love each other. The rest will take care of itself. Can't even get people to like each other.

Okay, a lot has happened in the last 48 hrs, neo-nazis in Germany, neo-fascists in the UK, BBC Online giving Reform reach arounds. So...what are we going to do about it? Are we going to hand-wring and pearl cluch, or will people actually do something that matters?

They do under bbc verify which does not get the traction it deserves. We need to get people submitting complaints. Hundreds of them. Thousands.

Well, what are people here going to do about it? Because I'm getting sick to death of the "Oh they won't change/do anything" argument. All you have to do is protest lack of impartiality and bias.

Remember, UK is a parliament system, not a presidential one.
000
amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I'm not being their mouth piece. Just explaining that right now, he's only got a small led over Reform and it's shaky ground. Next parliament, maybe but any attempt to return to the EU would be a shot in his foot. But, by running on it for next parliament would probably benefit vote share.

Put in a complaint. "BUT THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING!" Not the point. Too many complaints, they begin to change language. They are loyal to traffic index and viewing figures. Look what happened during the phone scandal. Overwhelm the department

Not a law. It's the game. He's in a tight spot. The bounce managed to get labour from third to 1st. He needs, at least to begin with, to balance it.

000
amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
Which makes sense. Right now, he wants more public ownership and devolution. If he can get that going, he can argue for rejoining this parliament. If he can't, he can point to BREXIT and say that's what stopping so much of it.
000
amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
It does matter. Because, Burnham has found himself PM after a by-election. If he had been chosen to lead to Labour party and won 2024, it would be different. He could claim he has a clear mandate. But, if he builds his argument to reverse Breixt, then he can achieve that next election.
200
amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
It's the unfortunate polticial game. They may have the largest party but it would count for nothing. You would see "PM with no mandate tries to undo the democratic will of ghd the people!" being screamed from every tabloid, pundit and opposition.

amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 01/09/2026
It's stupid, but an unfortunate reality. Maybe in a year or so, they might try. But it'll be a nightmare this side of the election. Starmer really shat the bed with that one. Should have left it open.
000
amadnn-mor.bsky.social @amadnn-mor.bsky.social · 01/09/2026
Because Labour ran on not trying to rejoin the EU for this parliament and since Burnham is in that slightly shaky position of being PM through internal decision rather than a GE, he has to walk a tight line. "I WANT TO DO X!" Ah, but Labour didn't run on that, you don't have the mandate.
