Alzheimer's disease usually progresses slowly. A sudden change in symptoms may be caused by an infection or dehydration. If you notice a sudden change, try to stay calm and take note of what’s happening. Reach out to a healthcare professional for guidance. 💜 #WorldAlzheimersMonth

Have you heard of the Herbert Protocol? The Herbert Protocol is a downloadable form to help keep people with dementia safe. Carers and relatives can record key details about the person, ready to share with police if they go missing. The form should be stored somewhere safe and easy to reach.

Does alcohol increase the risk of dementia❓🧠 Excessive drinking damages brain cells, impairs memory, and increases the risk of dementia. Current guidelines recommend not to drink more than 14 units of alcohol a week. #AlcoholAwarenessWeek
