Finished 5th in the Final this weekend! Absolutely thrilled with the result, ands that the kart is in one piece. We were fast off the truck all weekend long.

After the interview time passes, I get another email telling me our interview was cancelled. Out of frustration, I email the interviewer, telling her the manner in which this was handled was unprofessional and inconsiderate. THEN I get a response:

When you get a group of actual racers together to race indoor karts, don't be surprised when we get kinda ridiculous tactics rolling out of the pits 🫠

Today isn't about me. It's about the people we lost. But I really like illustrating the good that came out of tragedy, especially since we seem to be surrounded by so much of it lately. PLEASE do not dull your shine. Just live. Unapologetically.

Pulse needed up being the catalyst for me finding the courage to come out as trans. I realized how short life could be, but how much power there was in reclaiming your true identity, separate from the one you were assigned. I don't have a single regret about it.

Alyssa MacKenzie @alyssamackenzie.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

I didn't have the courage to go to the actual site until 2019. Went by myself. That same year, I went to my first Pride parade with my soon-to-be wife, @almack.bsky.social.

Alyssa MacKenzie @alyssamackenzie.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

They're currently in the process of building the Pulse memorial on the site, but I think anyone who can should visit it. It's hard to illustrate the magnitude of what happened in Orlando, ten years ago today.

The cat is out of the bag! I’ll be competing in the LO206 Masters Division @ CKC this year in this beautiful FDM karting-prepped kart, after I get in the hard work and dedication of getting seat time and getting up to speed. I’ve waited for this moment since I was 13 years old. 💜

Seeing the current climate that exists in the world today, it feels rather disingenuous to wish people a *happy* Trans Day of Visibility, so I’ll do this: For every day you find joy on this planet, may a bigot stomp on a flaming bag of elephant shit while wearing their favorite boots. 💜

Not the run I was hoping for in my Screen To Speed debut, getting swept up in wrecks in both race 1 and 2. BUT…. The broadcast was absolutely the best I’ve ever been a part of, and I can’t wait for the next round, where we take on a new car and track. Let’s go, ladies! 💜

HUGE news! I’m racing in the Init eSports Screen To Speed Spring Cup TOMORROW, starting at 3pm EST! Screen To Speed is an All-female eSports league that competes in different cars, at different tracks all over the world! The race will also be on YouTube and on Roku on esports Edge. LFG!!

Yall! I got my first PODIUM last night in the Radical Academy! Our final round saw some awesome racing throughout both the heat race & the feature, which I managed to snag 4th place in the first, then actually LEAD a few laps in the feature and secure a 3rd place! Can't wait to see what's next!💜

Tell me which pic was an article from August of 2024 warning the other was going to happen. It's a fun game that trans people have had to play for the last idontevenknowhowmanyyears where we warn people they're coming for our rights, people call us crazy, then it actually happens. I hate it here.

CW/TW: extreme danger towards trans people - For at least the past 5 years, I have been warning people that this was the initial intent. It was never just about kids. It was never about sports. It wasn’t about cis women. It was about trying to rid the earth of trans people.

What do you do after finishing 4th in the D Main, realizing you were the fourth slowest kart of the night? You get pissed. You get hungry. You FIGHT. Practice. Get determined. REFUSE to accept where you don’t want to be. Then, you get the fastest time of the week while doing it.💜

I could blame it on a cold kart in the first quali. I could say I kept getting hit in the final. But the bottom line is, I didn’t drive fast enough. Started & finished 4th in my Final & got a flawless start, but I left so many points on the table last night. We move forward! Only way to go.💜

Friend, I just wanted to take a second to remind you how amazing you are. Look at what you've accomplished! Yes, sometimes just rolling out of bed and trying is 'meeting yourself where you're at'. But you're here. Right now. And so am I. And if I'm being honest, it's nice to have company. 💜
