Miele G8 dishwasher feels like the nexus of this and the solution to a problem that offers fractional benefit, if any to the end user. Most of us would settle for longevity over programmed obsolescence but planetary limits never feature in design briefs it seems.

It was tongue in cheek but if W turned into LinkedIn with AI written ‘management fables’, I’d probably just abandon the platform versus treating the symptom.

Every time I walk past LinkedIn's office in London, I have to fight the urge to pull the middle finger at the building. Perhaps we need a 'Seems like LinkedIn' button à la their 'Seems like AI slop' reporting function. Exit them early so they don't normalise the behaviour! 😀

Sure, don't disagree and it sounds like you know more about the specifics than I do. I'm not going to debate or speculate on hypotheticals.

Is the cowboy outfit serving as visual metaphor for their development approach? I know he shelved 'move fast and break things' but I must have missed 'cowboy builders R US' around the time of the Metaverse imploding.

Providing no timeline to respond to an issue W deemed sufficiently serious to highlight in the first place feels like they should have just waited to avoid further speculation. Legal action never offers a guaranteed outcome and is always expensive - pecuniarily irresponsible for a start-up in beta.

‘In due course’ doesn’t feel like addressing concerns is that much of a priority. Why not do a Q&A and invite questions and engage with the community? If fuller answers are required, add them later.

Nepal, the least responsible for the ~427 ppm CO2 in the atmosphere, is currently on the front lines of the #ClimateCrisis IPCC (‘23) one of the places most at risk in the near-term (‘23-‘40): “Places where people and species live in close proximity to seasonal rivers.”

I think if more people had your attitude, the world would be a very different place. Partisan and divisive politics harms us all.

Meredith Whittaker has shown considerably more moral and ethical stewardship than Zuckerberg, who has long forgotten what a moral compass is. At some point, someone needs to pay a bill so you can pay or be monetised through your data. Despite what we know, people still use Whatsapp. 🤷‍♂️

I remember this quote from Rebecca Shaw in ‘The Guardian’ last year: “I knew one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down – I just didn’t expect them to be such losers” Were it not evergreen.

We found vulnerability originated quite often on dormant accounts which were often compromised due to poor security hygiene. We used to initiate keep alive messages and a graceful degradation of account functions with inactivity before archive and closure. It’s deathly dull but necessary.

Trump vs Carney is the definition of playing chess with a pigeon and to mix metaphors, the chickens will come home to roost for Trump. I wonder what 'bigly' tariff Trump will create in his laughably capricious response.

I'm not condoning apathy and agree with you. I'm merely stating that 48% + x% is a truer reflection of the eligible electorate at that time. Non-response bias is a factor to consider and that could swing negatively but I suspect less so - leave appeared more motivated. UK politicians are abysmal.

Don't do a disservice to the 48% of the populace who voted against Brexit. I think a significant proportion of people didn't vote out of sheer apathy and exhaustion at the state of British politics and equally, because they didn't think there was that much collective ignorance.
