iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

I put my foot in the sand. For as many things as I am aware of and can actively do something about. I act on whatever I can in a positive direction and don't support what I know is wrong. People call it stubborn. Unyielding. Difficult. They tell me I shouldn't care so much. I call it integrity.

000

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

We need it- integrity. To save ourselves. To save others, to save this rock we're struggling to survive on. Nothing will move things in a positive direction without it. The absence of it is a disease that only destroys. Destruction from disease is not ever discriminate.

100

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

But the problem is the way integrity is played out in our world. It's enforced on the meek, ignored by the tyrannical and a hurdle for the insecure. People tend to forget that part about integrity being a vital life skill. Vital.

100

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

There are enough people lacking integrity as the times change and the world seems not to care. Not just the evil people, the cruel individuals who also lack humanity in and of itself. Some, and many who lack integrity are generally nice. Friendly.

100

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Integrity. It's a word people throw around. It's supposed to be a virtue. A boundary. A comrade to moral strength and personal fortitude. It's a vital life skill. Vital. But that doesn't mean all people have it.

100

AlwaysJmB @alwaysjmb.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

Fake flattery chips away at my shine. If ppl really aren't interested in my works, I'd prefer they just don't speak on them. Lies only feel good to the person lying. Feels like daggers to the person being lied to. I need to protect my peace a lot harder, I see.

I used to be so afraid of the people who are loud enough that ppl can't see how ugly and dark they are inside over their booming voice. But light is more powerful, resilient and faster than sound. So I continue to shine my light.

Text: 20 and Some Change

Image: A brown hand with chipped nail polish flips 3 coins in the air, each coin has a face on it. One coin has the face of an Indian American man, one has the face of an African-American Woman, and the third coin has the generic silhouette of a man with his face x-ed out. Below the hand are some flowers.

There is still a part of me that thinks if I shrink myself down enough that things will be okay. That I shouldn't try to shine, because I know there are people seething at the mouth at the thought of me doing so. But then, what about all the good that's drawn to my light?
