We didn't know that this was foreshadowing when Sam started dropping stuff like this in our Discord
A screenshot of a Discord channel. The poster (Sam, though his name has been redacted) is saying "UNCROSS THE LEGS, KEV" and "IT'S WEIRD" in response to a whole collage of Field of Dreams posters and DVD covers and whatnot, showing without fail Kevin Costner standing and crossing his legs kinda weird.

TAAP Bands Wrap-Up and Secret History Pre-Book spoilers without context:
A screenshot of a tumblr photo post. The photo shows some sheet music: the first measure is a whole rest. The second measure is two half rests. The third measure is four quarter rests. The fourth measure is eight eighth rests. The fifth measure is sixteen sixteenth rests. It's captioned "It's just silence, but it keeps getting faster..." The response simply reads, "this is stressing me out." IT SURE IS BUDDYA poster for season 1 of Luke Cage. Against a grainy background of New York City is Diamondback, the super secret surprise antagonist of the season. He's a man in a sharp suit, with a glove on one hand. His quote, "You speak to me as if you're not in the presence of death," hovers above the LUKE CAGE logo text. I think this is an objectively cool looking photo, but sir you are not Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, so it simply irritates me.A photo of a very friendly plastic skeleton. Seriously, he looks terribly friendly. He's standing on a porch of what appears to be a good suburban home, decorated with gourds and hay bales and cornstalks and a sign that says "trick or treat." The skeleton looks as if he's freestanding, with one hand raised in a friendly wave. Look! He's even smiling!A photo of the man, the myth, the legend, Chicago Pope. It's a shot from the bust up of Pope Leo XIV against an out-of-focus background. He is, of course, putting on a Chicago White Sox hat. I hate to vote for the Sox, but 1) maybe the Sox winning a decade after the Cubs will put us back in the good timeline, 2) Chicago pride, and 3) the Sox winning thanks to The Mandate Of Heaven will be the funniest thing to happen to baseball. Also they're not the Brewers or the Dodgers.

TAAP Bands of Mourning Episode 8 spoilers without context:
The thumbnail for the hit YouTube video "Discombobulate," by user MorkMemes. It's a compilation of a few frames from the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movie, showing RDJ as Holmes making a magnificently disdainful face, as well as him reaching out and striking both of ears of the opponent he's fighting. It's captioned: "Discombobulate." Should I rewatch these movies? I remember them being quite fun and EXCEEDINGLY homoerotic, even by Holmes standards.A photo of a small portion of a playground. You really just see the support struts for a platform or slide or something, on top of that weird plastic-y but sponge-y material that they make the floor out of. But most pertinently, there's a large red tube with a conical ending. If you shout into the tube, you can be heard through a matching partner elsewhere on the playground. Whatever distortion happens to the sounds going through that tube, it's kinda giving me ASMR just to remember.A frame from a Marvel comic book. It shows some assembled Avengers - they're in silhouette, so I can only confidently identify Thor unfortunately. I would guess Black Widow, Black Panther, and Captain America as the other ones? Anyway, they're all looking at the figure in the center of the frame - Silent Bob, holding Mjolnir. Yes. Silent Bob. The guy from Clerks. Is in a Marvel movie lifting Mjolnir.A frame from Clone Wars. He's standing inside a building, with Star Wars-y angular windows, and beautifully animated sunlight streaming through them. You only see him from the waist up so I'm not sure if he's got his spider legs, but he's wearing an open-fronted vest and glaring down the camera. Needless to say, he is indeed serving.

TAAP Bands of Mourning Episode 7 spoilers without context:
A stock photo of a woman eating an apple. She's got long, curly brown hair and is standing in a park - the photo seems to be a selfie taken at a weirdly low angle. She's smiling as she's preparing to bite into the apple. I spent too long looking at stock photos of people eating apples and they all started to creep me out in the endA photo of my nemesis, Ronald Reagan, pointing at a chart in the Oval Office. The chart is weirdly small on the large poster, showing a graph with years on the x-axis and $ on the y-axis. It's labeled: "YOUR TAXES. AVERAGE FAMILY INCOME - $20,000." It shows a dotted line labeled "THEIR BILL" and a solid line labeled "OUR BILL." Between the two lines is a large area swathed in read. Reagan is pointing at it, mid-sentence. The photo overall is labeled "Trickle-Down Economics." Insert joke and/or bitterness about this gross economic policy here.A stock photo. Against a white background, it shows two cupped hands with a pile of colorful marbles between them. I can practically hear the clank of these objects and feel the texture from this picture. Excellent.A still from an episode of the Stardust Crusaders arc of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. It shows a split screen of two characters seated a table, playing cards. The character on the left, Daniel D'Arby, is a gentleman in a vest and a tie, flipping a poker chip between his bandaged hands. The character on the right, Jotaro Kujo, is in an oversized black coat with a large golden chain hanging from the collar. He has....a hat......sort of thing.....which merges with his hair? If I try to describe that for much longer I'm gonna get a nosebleed.

And for visual references - here are Sam's Halloween costume options:
A photo showing three people standing in front of a slightly dilapidated looking house. One of them is a little girl, in a plaid dress and a coat. The other two are grown people in hooded cloaks wearing elaborate skull masks. Hilariously, the hooded cloaks to appear to be over jeans.A picture of a t-shirt reading, word for word and punctuation for punctuation: "I'dont need a COSTUME I'm an ACCOUNTANT my job title is scary enough". There's also a bunch of pumpkins on the shirt. Hell yeah.

TAAP Bands of Mourning Episode 6 spoilers without context:
A photo with a pretty extensive caption. The photo is a black-and-white shot from the early 1900s, showing car magnate Henry Ford and the head of his "Service Department," Harry Bennett standing in front of a car. The caption, in all caps white and green text, reads: "Henry Ford was so obsessed with loyalty...he hired a convicted k*ller to protect himself and his empire" In teeny tiny font under it, it also says "Here's the wild story of Harry Bennett - the man Ford trusted more than anyone." For the record, I did not censor the word killer. I'm not gonna sugarcoat or censor how much this guy sucked.A still from Mass Effect 2, showing everyone's favorite character! It's Wilson! Wilson, a bald man with a stubbly goatee in a black-and-white Cerberus uniform! Standing in front of a space station-y background! You recognized Wilson on sight, right? Who wouldn't?The poster for the hit Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu. It's a very stereotypical movie poster to be honest, with a whole bunch of the characters of the film smushed together into kind of a collage. The Mandalorian is the largest in the frame, with the other characters sort of superimposed over him. And some AT-ATs for good measure. It reminds me of the Spider-Man: Homecoming poster which is....not a good thing.A screenshot that I grabbed from a YouTube video - the ENTIRETY of the 1994 action hit Back in Action, which is indeed up on YouTube for free. The screenshot shows action star Billy Blanks, standing shirtless and sweaty, in front of a sort of industrial background with something on fire back there. This is, naturally, the scene where Blanks' sister is being held at gunpoint, and Blanks solves the hostage situation by hurling his gun directly upwards and then pulling out another one to shoot the guy. I'm including this because 1) Sam was wrong when he said in the episode that this was from Enemy Territory so we wanted to set the record straight and 2) Sam also dared me to find this scene so I had to rise to the great challenge (finding the full movie on YouTube).

TAAP Bands of Mourning Episode 5 without context:
A still from Lord of the Rings. It's honestly a little hard to tell because they're all against an arboreal background, but it is in fact a picture of a bunch of ents - humanoid tree creatures. Our guy Treebeard is featured in the frame, carrying Merry and Pippin. The hobbits, not my cats. It's hard to carry the cats both at once, they're both over 14 pounds and try to escape.A gif (or a still, depending on of this social media platform allowed mixed media attachments) of a scene from Zoolander. The....two Zoolander guys...I don't know their character names, it's Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Okay, I'm pretty sure Ben Stiller plays Zoolander, but the other one is just Owen Wilson. Anyway, they're clearly in some kind of corporate office, trying to access a computer. By which I mean they're both kind of fruitlessly smacking it with their hands, with Zoolander jumping up onto the desk to give him better leverage.A photo of notorious mobster Al Capone. It's a black and white photo showing a close-up of Capone - he's wearing a three piece suit, a very shiny tie, a white hat, and a pocket square. There's a cigar clenched in his teeth. He's smiling and looks incredibly normal in this picture, which in and of itself is weirding me out, I feel like I only ever see his mugshot. The logo for the video game Path of Exile. It's a golden, vaguely ovular crest against a black background, with wings on either side and three circles with heads in them. Or skulls. It's a little blurry and hard to tell. The text Path of Exile is in bold black font - the I looks a little bit like a spike. And the crest is definitely splattered with blood. This is weirdly apropos it turns out.

TAAP Bands of Mourning Episode 4 spoilers without context:
The album cover for the musical Be More Chill. It shows a simplified drawing of a person in an orange-ish red-ish shirt, but their head is blurred and glitched out with varied colors of bars. This is the original cast recording from Two Rivers, not the INFERIOR Broadway version. I'm so sorry, I just can't get over Broadway Jeremy's voice. Everyone has these kinds of strong opinions about obscure musicals rightA collection of pictures of 10-gallon hats. There are two clear pictures - the one on the right is a tan cowboy hat with a studded leather band. It's perched on top of a post against a pastoral background in a way that does make it look like it's hovering. There's also a picture of a comedically tall, Doug Dimmadone-ass tall white hat with a gray band around it against a brick background. There are also some blurred, cut off pictures of other hats in the background. I just Googled 10-gallon hat and I got this unfathomable collage, why does this exist.A character from the fighting game Skullgirls. The character is Big Band - a large man in a trenchcoat with a saxophone-like apparatus on his back and several buckles and valves on his coat. Continuing our trend, he's also wearing a snazzy hat. This is such a delightful character design, I wish I knew literally anything else about this game.A scene from the hit horror film, Hollow Gate. It shows one character getting brutally mauled by dogs - the horror! The humanity! The adorable golden retrievers who are trying to act tough because they seem to be the only dogs the filmmakers could get!

A (maybe) red carpet shot of the one, the only, Anne Hathaway. She's standing in front of some sort of step-and-repeat background, wearing an off the shoulder white dress, smiling softly to the side of the camera. She's rocking some bangs and some face framing, with the rest of her hair up. Lemme doublecheck that Political Views tab on Wikipedia real quick....okay yep great she's basedA screenshot from the hit film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It shows the villain the Rhino, in his rhino machine, ready to tangle with Spider-Man. It's such a damn shame that these movies were subpar, Andrew Garfield is such a treasure and was such a fun Spidey. Also he wanted to make Peter Parker bisexual which is also incredibly basedA still from the film Labyrinth. I have a confession to make - I've never seen this film. So I'm gonna do my best here. David Bowie, absolutely serving in a drapey ruffle-y outfit, is staring down a young woman. In one of his gloved hands, he's holding a crystal ball, presumably ready to contact juggle it at any moment. The expression on his face is killing me, he looks so serious about this orb.A picture of the case for the PSP game Family Guy Video Game! It shows the whole Family of the Guy running away from an explosion, with varying expressions of determination and/or fear. The dot over the eye has been replaced by a TV. I also know nothing about Family Guy and I'm content to leave this at "the characters are here."

A screenshot I took of a website for the hit new product: heat it. They seem to be stylizing it to be all lowercase, which I do hate. Anyway, the website has informational text overlaid on an image of two people having a great time on a beach or a lake or something. One is utilizing heat itTM, a little thingy you plug into your smartphone and then press against an insect bite. The informational text says things like "Free US shipping and 100 Day Trial," "Smartphone-Powered Insect Bite Relief," and "4.8/5 stars, based on 25,000+ reviews worldwide." "Insect bite? Just heat itTM."A screenshot I also took of a Wikipedia article for the Apology Act, 2009 - a Law in Ontario, Canada. It's "a law made in the province of Ontario that provides that an apology made by a person does not necessarily constitute an admission of guilt." Above this descriptive blurb is some sort of crest, with a moose and a deer holding up a decorative shield upon which perches a teeny bear. This crest baffles me. Is it....a crest for this specific law? For the legislative body that made it?? Who is sheThe poster for the movie, "Marx Bros. Go West." It shows the titular Marx Brothers, rendered in cartoon/caricature fashion, under the movie title. They're all in Wild WestTM outfits - plaids, large hats, and bearing guns. Harpo has two guns which does not seem like a good idea.A sort of stock photo that I would expect to see at the beginning of a work powerpoint or something. It shows a desk littered with various Items of Accountancy - a pair of glasses, a nice pen, a stack of papers and folders, a large book, and....a gavel? Do you usually need a gavel as a CPA? Do you get to declare something accounted? Anyway the book says Forensic Accounting, that's what I came here to report and then got distracted by the gavel

A gif (or still image, depending on the multimedia allowances of the social media site in question) from British panel show Mock the Week. It shows someone standing in front of the text of the prompt: Unlikely Things To Read In The Bible. Well, I say standing. He's kind of flailing his limbs wildly about, which is appropriate because he's also saying "And the Lord said: 'Shit, I've made a wasp!'"The cover of the DVD edition (as it says in the corner) for the film "Parole Violators." The protagonist, played by Sean Donahue, a man I've never heard of in my entire life, is standing off-center in the frame. He's shirtless, staring down the camera, with a pistol in one hand pointed directly at the viewer and a rifle in the other hand slung over his shoulder. The lighting is hitting his jeans in a really strange way that makes it look like he has some sort of strange protrusion on his upper left thigh. Yes, I know what that sounds like, I didn't make the poster, I just had to view it.A photo of a little piece of my childhood. It shows an overhead projector, which is indeed projecting a transparency onto a screen in the corner of a classroom. The rest of the lights in the room are dim, and the projector is offering a comforting glow to cut through the gloom. Any second now, the teacher will enter the frame with a Vis-A-Vis marker and begin to write on the transparency to highlight a point of some kind. And now everyone gets a Chromebook instead. Grumble grumble kids these days, etc, etc.A collage of five horse/countryside pictures. There's a wide shot in the middle of a beautiful, hilly, forested vista - it's actually quite stunning. Surrounding it are 4 smaller pictures of horses galloping across said vista. There's a few different herds of them - some grazing, some galloping, two truly just posing in a yin-yang situation. AKA, this is VenDell's slide show.

A screenshot of a YouTube video that I have watched don't ask me how many times! It's by bimbly edits, titled "Lords of the Wing Stealing My H(e)art for 7 minutes," and the thumbnail shows Lou Wilson on the set of Dimension 20's A Court of Fey and Flowers. His arms are raised and he's clearly saying (and captioned) "YES COUSIN" in a rapturous tone. I really should have known how unhinged these two would be paired up together but it never fails to delight me.A photo of a man in a ghillie suit - a full-body covering of plant-looking material as a form of camouflage. 99% of the pictures of people in ghillie suits are people holding sniper rifles which felt a little intense, so instead we get this guy just exuding the most Bigfoot/cryptid energy I've ever seen for someone so centered in the camera frame.A screenshot from the hit TV show that I've definitely seen, Jury Duty. It shows actor James Marsden, playing actor James Marsden, reading a script. He's sheepishly looking over his shoulder, explaining "Sorry. Jump scare." I did just pull this screenshot from a TikTok but when you have definitely actually seen the TV show in question, sometimes you just gotta rely on the wisdom of the crowd.A cartoon showing an inmate in a prison, writing on the wall of his cell just below the barred window. A screenshot of a Google AI search result. It reads "Giving dap or dapping up is a term used to describe gestures of greeting, agreement, or solidarity between two people that have become popular in Western cultures, particularly since the 1970s, stemming from African American soldiers during the Vietnam War." Thank god Google AI can give me this, the whitest description of anything pretty much ever.A transparent photo of a Goron from The Legend of Zelda. They're a humanoid creature with yellow skin, a rocky sort of carapace situation on their back, a slightly pointy head, and a truly blissfully empty expression on their face. I yearn for my head to be that empty.A photo of The Backrooms. It shows a famously liminal space - dull tan carpet, randomly placed yellowish walls, fluorescent lights, and slightly stained tiled ceilings. I kinda want to get lost in the backrooms. Sure there may be "horrible monsters" in there and I may "never escape," but it sounds kinda peaceful for the first few hours to just wander around in there.A....weirdly small rendition of the Grand Theft Auto logo. It's literally just the words "Grand Theft Auto" in a sort of impact-y font, white text against a black background. But it's...so small in the frame. I didn't realize it would be so tiny when I downloaded it. Why is it like this.

A still from Back to the Future. It focuses on Marty McFly, a young man with messy brown hair and like twelve layers of shirts and jackets and a puffy orange vest. He has a very confused and/or bemused expression on his face that I find very funny and indeed is why I chose this picture specifically.A screenshot of a tweet from author and commentator Jared Yates Sexton. It famously reads "I...worked on this story for a year...and...he just...he tweeted it out." I can't even remember which scandal this was in reference to! We love it here!!Two stills from Attack on Titan. They show a dark-haired, slightly sweaty many staring down the camera and demanding "Are we doing this, Reiner? Right here, right now?" I've never seen Attack on Titan, but I'm like 70% sure I know what it's in reference to and I've gotta say I agree. Right here? Right now?? While he's so sweaty???A photo of a small comic frame. It shows a crowd of of very disgruntled looking gentlemen staring at a silhouetted figure. One of them is shouting "*Shut up!*" By way of explanation, the comic is captioned "Most people rejected His message. They hated Jesus because He told them the truth." It also cites Gal. 4:16. A photo of a sign that dominates most of the frame, with a glimpse of a tree and the sky in the background. The sign is mostly negative white space, with a single word in elegant font: MONSANTO. Its logo, a climbing vine surrounded by an orange box, is directly to the right of the name. The framing of this photo is so incredibly ominous that I have to believe the photographer had an agenda. Which....yknow.......fair.A still from the 2012 Les Misérables movie, which was.........fine. Anyway, it's one of the best lines in one of the best musicals on Earth. Grantaire, a slightly scruffy student, is sitting at a table behind a candle, declaring, of course, "I am agog! I am aghast!" Cinéma.A portion of the color theory tumblr post. The cliffs notes version is as such: The top is a photo captioned "So our local children's hospital recently redecorated, but I'm not too sure they really thought things out," because it shows a zig-zagging paint pattern that someone selected the color red for. There's a response post arguing that red "has more positive than negative meanings," which is in turn responded to by a real one saying "that is never going to change that this straight up looks like they DRAGGED A BLOODY BODY ACROSS THE FUCKING FLOOR." And this is why I remain lurking on tumblr. An illuminating photo in an illustrative style, demonstrating how grain entrapment happens. It shows that within a grain silo, a crusted grain surface can hide v o i d s of grain that can cause the surface to collapse and you to fall in. A screenshot from the hit video game, either called Sherlock Holmes Versus Arsène Lupin or Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis. The Wikipedia page says it was released in North America as Nemesis, but in France as "Sherlock Holmes Contre Arsène Lupin," which is just the first name translated into English I guess? Even though I don't think there was ever an English-language version with that name? None of this is important. The screenshot shows a man in a sensible gray suit with a tie and a bowler hat standing in a large room that we can't see much of - just yellow walls with art on them, a tiled floor, and some boxes in the background. The still image doesn't capture the fact that if you move and turn around, that man in the sensible suit will still be right behind you. He will ALWAYS be right behind you. That's Creepy Watson right there.A screenshot of a YouTube thumbnail and title. The thumbnail shows several people in matching long-sleeved shirts, either sitting on top of or yeeting into a pile of money. They're all in black-and-white, except for a man leaning against the Money Platform with a sort of deep despair etched into his face. His shirt says "Folding Ideas," as this is indeed a Folding Ideas video called "Why was I invited to Beast Studios?" There is simply too much content to watch I can't get into another video essayist but god am I temptedA picture showing, against a horrendously yellow background, several prized items from my childhood. We lost some good men within those gym walls when these came out (my fingers (crushed by those handles and wheels (these still rocked tho)).A picture of a Magic the Gathering card, called "Hot Soup." The photo shows a little goblin guy sprinting through a rampaging battle, holding an enormous cauldron of steaming hot soup, ready to hurl it into the fray. Minecraft cube graphics make determining what's happening here quite difficult.A screenshot from a Loading Ready Run video. He's standing with his hands on his hips, but if you zoom in on his face he does look INCREDIBLY dead inside.

TAAP Oathbringer Episode 17 (Jesus this book is long, episode 17 is still in Part 3) spoilers without context:
A....I'm honestly not sure what this image is. An album cover? Just an inspirational message? A proof that graphic design is the creator's passion? Anyway, it's an image of a skeleton striding forward with great purpose, with various words of wisdom superimposed on it in white font: "JUST WALK OUT" "you can leave!!!" Examples of things you can leave include: "work, social thing, movies, home, class, dentist, clothes shoppi, too fancy weed store cops if your quick, friend ships." It also tells you that "real winners quit," and, most importantly, an all-time quote: "IF IT SUCKS... HIT DA BRICKS!!"A photo of a large sign advertising the Mystery Spot. Or, more accurately, an amalgamation of five large signs. The top one is an arrow saying "MYSTERY SPOT," below it are three signs saying "fun fun fun," "MILLION VISITORS," and "?", and the bottom one reads "WORLD FAMOUS OPEN - RAIN or SHINE." Fun fact, I had to try to download like 3 different versions of this picture before it would properly save on my phone. Maybe that's the real mystery spot.A movie poster for famed comedy film "Max Keeble's Big Move," a movie that we all know intimately and love dearly. The poster shows presumably the title character flanked by two friends, one of whom appears to be Josh Peck?? Nickelodeon containment breach, he managed to get over into a Disney film. And then much later in his life Oppenheimer. What a career.A photo of a piece of artwork by Félix González-Torres, titled "Untitled" (Perfect Lovers). It shows two ordinary wall clocks, hung so close that they're touching, set to precisely the same time. I think if I was viewing this artwork and saw them fall out of sync, I would simply burst into tears immediately.

A photo of two people having a delightful time on a zipline. It's a man and a woman, both in harnesses and orange helmets, suspended far above a hilly, forested landscape. How do you think they took this picture? Is there a third zipline next to these two? Is it a drone situation? Do they just put the camera on a timer and chuck it? It's probably not that last one.A screenshot of a YouTube video, titled "Satisfying Muddy Rug Cleaning". You can see someone, blasting a muddy rug with a power washer, cleaning it in a satisfying manner. It's fully 30 minutes long and has a million views, and both of those stats are absolutely correct. Two photos side-by-side, both related to famed Psych class subject Phineas Gage. The left-hand photo is an artist's rendition of a skull, with a large iron tamping rod shot through it, entering under the eye socket and exiting through the front top of the skull. The right-hand photo is a black-and-white photo of Phineas himself, seated, wearing a suit. He's holding what I think is the very rod that was shot through his skull, which is metal as HELL.A screenshot from Disney's Robin Hood, showing the titular character and Maid Marian. They're holding hands, though Robin Hood has a sword in his other hand which is pretty much how I want to live life. They're both delighting in each other's company, which is fair given how attractive they both are WE ALL KNOW IT AND WE SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO SAY IT, IT'S ON DISNEY FOR MAKING THE FOXES SO HOT

A lovely photo of Artemis II launching. It's a spacecraft with rockets at full blast, spewing fire and smoke, framed against a blue sky. I've got no jokes for this one, Artemis II updates are the only time I smile when I get a New York Times notification. A truly horrifying cartoon-y stock photo. It's an anthropomorphized lung, complete with arms, hands, and a face. It also has a birthday hat, a clown nose, and a bow tie. Clearly, this represents clown lung, the medical malady that plagues folks who breathe in too much talcum powder AKA clown makeup. I was about to ask why this exists but I am in fact downloading it and helping it become more visible so I don't think I have a leg to stand on here.A screenshot from Mass Effect 2, showing everyone's favorite character...Google says he doesn't even have a name, it's just the Gunnery Chief. Put some respect on his name, by which I mean give him a name. Anyway, the photo is captioned with his famous quote - "Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch in space!"A still from the film Caddyshack, showing Bill Murray, sweating, wearing a camo bucket hat. He's saying "So I've got that going for me. Which is nice." I caddied for many years, but I have never seen this film, but I also say this quote all the time. It's all very simple. Wait why is the text on the photo kinda cut off

A picture of Sasuke. Like, a screenshot, not a photograph photograph. Sasuke isn't real. Anyway, it's (presumably) a still from an episode of Naruto, showing Sasuke standing against cityscape background. He's a grumpy looking fellow with black hair, a patterned headband, and a high blue turtleneck. Despite owning Men's Naruto Lounge Pants I have never actually seen Naruto, but I assume he's the resident Bad Boy around here?A screenshot I took of a MovieClips YouTube video with auto-generated captions on because strangely googling "Bunburying" doesn't turn much up too much imagery. Anyway, it's a still from the 2002 film adaptation of The Importance of Being Earnest, showing a man and a woman (thee Dame Judi Dench in fact) in 19th/20th century garb, mid-conversation. The man is saying that he's "just had a telegram to say that my poor friend Bunbury is very ill again." Everyone go read this play or find the proshot of the stage version with Ncuti Gatwa because in my mind that's now the definitive version.A screenshot from the game Minecraft. It shows a rolling hillscape (comprised entirely of cubes, naturally), a blue sky, and a creepypasta legend standing in the center. It's Herobrine, who looks identical to the Minecraft protagonist Steve except with glowing white eyes. I feel like it's only a matter of time before I fall down a Herobrine rabbit hole at like 3 in the morning, last time it was Ben Drowned and that feels very thematically similar.A screenshot of a CNN article titled "Romney's empty 'binders full of women'", published back in 2012. There's a video clip under the headline, captioned "Romney tells 'binders' of women anecdote". Unironically shoutout to Mitt Romeny, I yearn for the days when you were the Republican opponent. Because I'm pretty sure this was the wildest thing you said and by today's standards it doesn't even make me blink.

A black-and-white picture of the OG Ferris wheel. It's standing proudly over the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago (the best city). You can see other fair buildings in the area, and crowds of people standing below. Y'know I kinda expected the first Ferris wheel to be smaller? Like it was just the first one, surely they wanted to start with a smaller prototype and then go from there. But no, fuck it, let's just yeet ourselves right up into the sky in 1893.A shoddy picture that I downloaded from Facebook. It's a collage of different pictures, labeled in the middle as "29 Hilarious Senior Quotes That Somehow Made It In The Yearbook." It features senior photos and quotes such as "Life is like a sandwich; no matter which way you flip it, the bread comes first." and "If idiots could fly, this would be an airport" and "Education is important, but big biceps are importanter." I don't think my high school did senior quotes, which is probably a good thing. It would have paralyzed me with anxiety over making a decision.A picture of two GameBoy cartridges, one blue and one red. The blue one (obvi) is Pokemon Sapphire Version and the red one (duh) is Pokemon Ruby Version. Now if this was Justin and I's childhood house, just mentally delete the Sapphire cartridge and add two more Ruby cartridges. We weren't optimizing as children. An image that presumably precedes some sort of numbered list. It's a 3-panel image, labeled "10 Best Swedish Metal Bands." The left-hand panel shows a long-haired gentleman with sunglasses and a guitar, singing away. The right-hand panel is a bald gentleman with a beard, also singing away. The middle panel, however, shows someone in full skull makeup with some sort of papal hat and robes, absolutely glaring down the camera.

A meme as generated on meme generator dot net, as we can see by the watermark in the lower right-hand corner. Heath Ledger's Joker is pictured, holding a playing card (guess which one), smiling at someone offscreen. Bottom text.Another in-process meme, though this one is not courtesy of meme generator dot net. The picture the heads of two wolves, facing each other with the full moon framing them in the background. One wolf has dark gray or black fur and the other has white fur, and spooky clouds and mist drift in the background. The text over their heads reads "INSIDE YOU THERE ARE TWO WOLVES". The space below the wolves is empty, ready for your inspired words to complete the meme.A thumbnail of a YouTube video, titled "Sound Of The Sun If It Was Inside Earth's Atmosphere." The thumbnail shows, indeed, the sun in the background, with a waveform in front of it to indicate sound. That long title has been gloriously simplified to "SOUND OF SUN." Hell yeah brother.A still from the hit TV show Severance - a close-up on Mr. Milchick. He's standing against a blurred but vaguely blandly corporate background in a white button-down and blue tie, smiling warmly. I....have not seen Severance. I know I should, but I spend so much time with garbage TV like 9-1-1 that I have no time for good TV. Surely that's a healthy media diet.

A cover of a piece of literature that is incredibly self-explanatory. It reads: "Handbook of Fictitious Names: Being a Guide to Authors, Chiefly in the Lighter Literature of the XIXth Century, Who Have Written Under Assumed Names, and to Literary Forgers, Impostors, Plagiarists, and Imitators" This surely is the original Fantasy Name Generators Dot ComThe cover of a book, also incredibly self-explanatory. It reads: "A Million Random Digits with 100,000 Normal Deviates." This surely is the original me Googling "random number between x and y"The stats for a racehorse, showing his trainer is Fernando Bahena, he's a brown 8-year-old gelding whose won $24,901 of prize money. He was born on 3/03/2018 to Baletmeister and Celestial Power, grandson of Johannesburg. These are all lovely racehorse names, which makes it even better that their (grand)son is named Powerful Man. He has a 5% win rate, a 24% place rate, and I love him very much in spite of all that.A screenshot of a YouTube video. It's a 14 second clip from Top Gear, with the video showing host Jeremy Clarkson pumping both fists in the air in victory as he stands near the trunk (or boot, if you will) of a car. The video is titled "im gonna mend lots of things now jeremy clarkson." A weirdly blurry version of the poster for the hit show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. It shows a blurry Spider-Man over a blurry NYC skyline, framed against the moon. It advertises lyrics by Bono & The Edge and Direction by Julie Taymor. I know I could have very easily found a less blurry photo to use for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, but it does in fact feel appropriate. For Spider-Man. Turn Off the Dark.A photo of the Blue Man Group. It shows three blue people, against a black background, all staring VERY intensely into the camera. They're all in black crew neck shirts, so it does kind of look like these three blue heads are just floating in the void. I feel like if it was physically possible to have a head float in a void, the Blue Man Group would in fact do it.A photo of a phenomenal museum exhibit, called "mindball: relax & win." It shows two participants sitting on either side of a table, with a blue band strapped around their heads. There's a track between them, and a screen behind them showing their respective brain waves. The less your brain is working, the more the ball moves in your favor. It's competitive relaxation. I'm godawful at this game. To absolutely no one's surprise.A photo of three characters from Kingdom Hearts - I'm like 97% sure it's Sora in the middle, Kairi on the right, and Riku on the left. They're all framed by a decorative gold emblem. They're all in their anime polygonal PS2 glory. I know that this series is beloved, but I just cannot get over the fact that someone looked at Mickey Mouse and then Sephiroth and decided they should fight.

A screenshot of a tumblr post. It reads, "I really hate that one tumblr post that's like 'you know that weird half jog thing white people do when they cross the street' because I think about it every single time I do that weird half jog thing when I cross the street." Strangely, I simply cannot find what I remember to be the original post that this is based on. Was it deleted and never screenshotted? Was this post here the origin?? Is this another Berenstain Bears thing??A photo of a Telecaster electric guitar with a tan body and some decorative black metal plating. The two center strings of the guitar have been removed, meaning this instrument is READY to play Rock Lobster. When I wrote down that I should post something about Rock Lobster's guitar tuning, I didn't really think about the fact that guitar strings in different tunings. Don't really. The name of the movie is in capital, red letters, with a white subtitle reading "Only in theaters January 30" Surrounding the text is some sort of...fish....creature........teeth......thing. It's a lot of spines or teeth and there's definitely some bones around. But honestly the weirdest part of this poster isn't the eldritch fish creature. It's the corner text which reads "A film by Markiplier."A photo of a Jeep Wrangler, sitting on a street. It's a large gray car. I...don't really know what else to say here. It's a Jeep Wrangler, man. A Magic the Gathering card which...I think is fake? But also maybe it could be a joke pack that WotC officially released?? Who even knows with this game. Anyway, it's called Scale Birds. The text reads: "Create X 1/1 white Bird creature tokens with flying, where X is the total number of birds among the arts of permanents you control." The picture is clearly a zoomed in section of a different card, showing some sort of beautiful temple and statue or staff or something - it doesn't matter. What matters is the flock of little white birds flying about the beautiful background to put it all into scale. I simply cannot get into Magic, it would ruin me and my wallet. But admittedly this is real funnyA screenshot from Assassin's Creed 1 (I'm pretty sure, it's a little hard to tell the early assassins apart). It shows Altaïr(?) in the Animus loading screen, strolling around in a white void with floaty text and images appearing around him. I feel like whatever you did in the Animus loading screen is a personality test. Did you stand there? Did you run directly at the camera? Did you jump randomly back and forth? I was definitely the third option.A blurry photo of two kids who clearly look thrilled to be in said photo. I'm bad at guessing ages but I would guess the girl is 5? And the boy is maybe 8? Anyway. I think they're siblings, standing in their living room (you can see a rug, a sensible lamp, and a TV in the background). The two of them are crammed into one very large shirt, with the words "Our Get Along Shirt" written in it. I feel like this probably would have worked because if nothing else it would give you a common enemy (whoever put you in the shirt).A screenshot of a Facebook post, posted in some Red Dead Redemption fan group. It shows two screenshots of the game, both with the protagonist on horseback, shown from the back. The camera angle is low enough to show the horse's. Well. A YouTube thumbnail for a playthrough of the Lord of the Rings text adventure game, a thing I didn't know existed until Sam enlightened me during this episode. In 8-bit pink-ish font, the words "LORD OF THE RINGS" are emblazoned across the screen. Scattered across it are small snippets of text from the game itself. They read "You attack Sam." "you cleave his skull." "The dogs attack and kill Pippin." "You can see 3 Black Riders." "You become a ring-wraith." I am...so intrigued. What dogs. What did Pippin do. Whose skull are you cleaving. And why is "you can see 3 black riders" on par with Pippin getting mauled to death by dogs.A screenshot from the game Signalis. The pixelated graphics show the protagonist standing in front of....well, I'll be real, it's bad to look at. The in-game caption reads "There's a gaping hole in the pulsing flesh." And I think I'm just gonna let that speak for itself.A still from Hercules, the Disney movie. It shows the titular protagonist in a heroic pose, brandishing a club with a shield on one arm. He's wearing a lion's pelt in his victory. Except that lion's pelt is Scar, beloved villain from The Lion King. I think this is deeply funny but I am also deeply confused on why Disney allowed this. They're so precious about their brand and characters that I really didn't think they would be like "oh, yeah, our heroic protagonist can wear the dead skin of one of our other characters. that's fine."The top of the famous ClickHole article - "Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point." It was written on 2/05/18 at 11:18am, and filed to: WOW. The man in question is pictured staring down the camera, brow slightly furrowed. The cover of House of Leaves, A Novel by Mark Z. Danielewski. It shows a sort of maze that spirals in at the center to a compass logo, while off to the side is a mish-mash image of staircases and sort of...house stuff. The word "House" is in blue font, while the rest is in white. Have I used House of Leaves as one of these spoilers before?? But maybe during the daylight if you get scared. Not that I'd know.A still from the Marx Brothers film Duck Soup. It's THEE scene from that movie - the mirror scene. Groucho and Harpo (dressed as Groucho) Marx are on either side of an open doorway, as if there's a mirror in between them as they mimic each others every move. The fact that Justin and I were raised on quite a bit of Marx Brothers should probably track given the sense of humor we've developed.A certification card with blue borders, a white background, and black text against it. It is, of course, from the National Forklift Foundation (dot com) as it's a Forklift Certification document. The left-hand side has details like the Certification ID, award date, expiration date, and signature. The right-hand side reads "This Card Certifies That The Below Individual Has Successfully Completed The Objectives & Examination in Accordance with the Curriculum of the NFF Certification & Training Program." Why is it capitalized like that?? As I was typing I was like "alright, capitalizing every word is a choice but I support it" but then it drops out of that like halfway through. National Forklift Foundation (dot com) should be ashamed.A screenshot from Mass Effect 3, showing your War Preparedness Score. It lists certain assets, and, of course, assigns them a numerical value to indicate their usefulness to your purposes. A mechanic that aligns strongly with Mass Effect's message of how much one person can change the galaxy if they put their mind to it. Anyway, the Leviathan Enthrallment Team is worth 400 points. General Oleg Petrovsky is only worth 30 points. Though the entire Omega Raiding Fleet is worth 75, so maybe Oleg is doing okay.

What is it about Roombas that activate my maternal instincts so? A friend sent me a video lately of a Roomba loose on the L and I instantly knew I would protect it with my life.A photo of the Washington Monument that....seems to have been cropped poorly against my will.
