...on whether you meet the 'right' people or not. Besides, imagine being in the shoes of the person on the other end of this desire. How hard would it be to fill the shoes of the idea of the right person fixing everything? Pretty rough if you ask me.

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

"Who do I need to meet?" Do you need to meet anyone in particular? Maybe, meeting people is pretty good. Or maybe there's something to be found in cultivating what you already have with people you already know. But I think the important thing is that your happiness doesn't need to be contingent...

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

"What do I need to create still?" "What do I need to win? Join?" Whatever your creative drive brings you to and you want to create or partake in. It's not wrong to want recognition for the things you create, but I'd recommend not doing it *for* that purpose.

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

It's just not the right thing to fill the hole. That's not to say external validation doesn't help you get to a better place, but only chasing it is endless.

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

"Who do I need to see me to feel validated?" Considering all the people already around you: if there is such a person and you haven't found them, chances are it's yourself you need to convince. I'm sure you wouldn't describe the support you already get as 'not good enough' or anything like that.

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

"When can I be finally content?" Being content is not a destination or based on achievement, it's a decision/internal process. Some of the most content people you'll ever know don't possess or achieve much to get there.

100

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

"When is the yearning for "more and more" gonna end?" Not by striving for more and more. That's just sating the yearning rather than coming to terms with it. That doesn't mean you should stop striving for things. But there is no finish line and you *will* come up more things to strive for.

I've been getting burned out at work which has been messing with all my routines, including streaming. I haven't had the energy to stream, especially since there are other things I need to put back in place too. I'm not quitting, but for the foreseeable future streaming is out 😅

Alvus | Finnish Wizard 🪄✨ @alvus.bsky.social · 17/04/2025

Life's been a bit hectic (both good and bad) and I've been neglecting streaming because of it. Don't know when I'm coming back to it, but I do plan on it. Sorry for being quiet!
