I think Austin Abrams should star in a Primetime/Social Network-style biopic about the rise and fall of Mr. Beast.

The ending of Resident Evil is pure ragebait, I was so frustrated watching that. But otherwise a good movie, the progression of typical RE gameplay was so accurately translated to film.

An X-Men cast where the women outnumber the men…Marvel might finally get this one right.

Same thing sorta happened with Invincible: season 1 was a phenomenon and 2 was so overlooked in comparison. But then they got the show on a consistent production schedule and the audience returned. I’m hoping that will be true for X-Men.

I was astounded by how mature and sincere the movie is with its themes. My expectations for superhero movies have sunk so low, I was like “Woah, good writing?! 🤯”

If they go with Emma Frost as headmistress of the school instead of Xavier, I would respect that a lot. Give us a drastically different line-up than what audiences are familiar with.

Magik flourishing everywhere but the cartoon 🥀 Her death does occur in the comics, under different circumstances. It give me hope they’re setting up her demonic resurrection plot-line.

Every criticism I have of it are the same criticisms I’ve levied against all superhero movies released in the last decade. They’re just far less ignorable and forgivable now. This situation says more about the masses shifting taste than the film itself.

To me, Supergirl is perfectly on par with the likes of Ant-Man, Aquaman, Age of Ultron; all these middling comic book films that slipped by with a 70 or 80% on Rotten Tomatoes because everyone was so caught up in the cultural zeitgeist of these cinematic universes.

I’m genuinely convinced the reception to this film would’ve been more positive had it come out 10 years earlier. Not because I’d call it underrated or misunderstood, but because audiences and critics used to have far softer standards for this genre.

Milly Alcock is precious, charming, scrappy and carries the Supergirl movie on her back. Her performance elevates this film above being just a shallow noncommittal adaptation of Woman of Tomorrow for me.

TADC finale is like I Saw The TV Glow for kids. Seriously, there were a ton of kids and parents in my theater who were all invested despite how intense and lacking in levity it was. Huge props to Gooseworx for writing a queer story that’s reached such a broad audience.

I’m glad the Mando & Grogu movie was made. It’s a much better send-off for the show and those characters than season 3. And it has an almost Indiana Jones-like quality to it.
