Like I've literally considered making D&D maps through Doom. You make them on a grid. 64x64 map units can easily represent a 5-ft area for a character to stand in. There's no excuse to use AI for that (and never one at all)

As a person who has thoroughly abused the Doom engine and made things inside of it, at times it really feels like that game is held together with paper clips, duct tape, and shoe string. The code did some impressive things with it, though, and John Carmack is a wizard
