You could replace "I miss twitter (when it didn't suck)" with "I miss (anything)" and it would be the same thing. It's just nostalgia, honed because things are so bad now.

reject m15inity, embrace modernity

TIRED: being nostalgic for the 1997 border WIRED: being nostalgic for the 2003 border

For real (you can tell I'm being a bit more serious when I'm using capitals), I think there is a high fantasy bias but there's a lot of levels between high fantasy and street level superheroics and the "New York Block" definitely was the needle in one direction.

There at one point existed a recording of my grandfather reading "Are You My Mother?" I can remember his booming voice as he reads "You are a SNORT". My grandfather has been dead for 17 years. But I'll always have that memory. And it was him, not some computer pretending to be him.

Mystic Knights Secret Lair when

Thematically it would be appropriate for you to put it in a time capsule and bury it somewhere.

Martha: Go waddle over there and kick Bill's butt. Me, looking at what's in Bill's yard: *sigh*

I'D BE GRUMPY TOO IF I WAS A WALL ALL MY LIFE AND SOME LADY WAKES ME UP AND TELLS ME I GOTTA GO RUMBLE WITH A WIZARD

Finally I can build the perfectly modular deck.

Yes yes I've been hiding some ideas

but they're charging less for them right? ...right?

150

there are people who aren't the exact same level of mad or not mad as me about this booster thing and it SICKENS me

170

this means every set is going to have to have some stupid gimmick like nauctus is going to be "a fish in every pack" and kamigawa will be "some anime uwu in every pack" 😮‍💨

How are they even going to sell play boosters without the little flag that says "a foil in every pack" who the fuck is in charge of marketing there

120

The amount of money Saban just set on fire with that show 😭🔥💸

Me waiting for foil Pia to come down: cool, great timing on the news 😮‍💨

Looks like they are catering to the Gods and for once I approve

redrew a few of the sliver commanders to work with the limitations of a 203 DPI monochrome thermal printer. ended up putting a retro Mac spin on it. these were partially done in MacPaint and MacDraw for era-appropriate fonts and patterns! #pixelart #art #mtg #magicthegathering #retromac #vintagemac

Past Tense, a once forgotten "filler" episode of pre-peak DS9, is one of the most prescient pieces of speculative fiction ever written.

Fantastic new video by @princesmweekes.bsky.social on Deep Space Nine and the prophetic portrayal of sanctuary cities and the Bell Riots in "Past Tense" with an amazing exploration on the impotance of Science Fiction and the role Star Trek has played A+ stuff.
