that is very sweet of you, thank you. while altered panel is not our job, we do have a kofi for our job if you would like to. this is more dedicated to our webcomic/arts proper, so there is a lot to read and see over there. ko-fi.com/fourleafisland

you do indeed. any time you use a paper filter you should wet it first

a carousel of animals @alteredpanel.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

absolutely should. any coffee that can be made with a regular paper filter will do well with this

happy #makeaterriblecomicday. i decided to try making a comic using an inkwell pen for the first time with no sketch on a subject that's boring to everyone except me

while it is possible to go to a generalized trauma therapist and they *should* be willing to help someone with DID, it is... So much easier not having to coach someone into understanding your disorder and just have them Already Know so you can get work done. speaking from experience

seek out specialists covered by your insurance. i specifically googled 'DID counselor/dissociative trauma counselor/DID specialist (insert insurance here)' and scrubbed through the results until i found someone trans inclusive too!

they do have sonas actually! the shapes are sort of a privacy/placeholder kind of thing. like 'hey if you wanna join in you can but we're not gonna force you'

oh totally they do. i think when you think of like how thoughts 'sound' theres a different tone and speech pattern and vocab choices that make parts distinct. some are gonna sound similar to others due to similar upbringing or experience. but it doesnt 'sound' like actual Voices if that makes sense

nah, they arent a subsystem/were not exactly recently discovered so much as 'rediscovered' - theyre an older part isolated from most of the system that most of us had assumed to be dormant, recently fronting again

silent hill, little nightmares, limbo, OFF - mostly psychological and surreal, prefer puzzle games over anything with combat, though something like crow country caught my attention because the story is interesting hollow knight as well, though thats not exactly horror
