For no specific reason, I want to inform anyone who hasn't been made aware. "Blood is thicker than water" is the shortened, incorrect version. The correct version is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." That is all.

We are takin' a little break. Alter is *very eepy* and we're at a weird place in the MSQ with timing. So instead of taking a break during Halloween, the BEST TIME OF THE YEAR, gonna nap before it. We will be back, and well rested (I hope) October 17.

Hullo folks! I have an update. Nothing bad, I'm just sorry it's so abrupt.

I'm taking a little break starting today to get some rest. I've pushed myself too much in terms of sleep in the last... several, months, and I had been planning on this after FFXIV was completed. However, I've been made aware we're very close to the MSQ, and some of our regulars may not be there this weekend due to Canadian Thanksgiving. (Happy Turkey Day up there y'all!) Plus, I realized if I wait until next week and do it, uh... it's gonna be Halloween. And I want to stream for that. I like my Halloweens y'all.

So I'm gonna take this time to rest, get a couple things ready, and more importantly, log more than a few full nights of sleep a month. Something I intend to do after, but I could really use an aggressive push on it to start. We will be back though! Oct. 17 we're gonna knock out FFXIV: Dawntrail's MSQ with a long streamday! Hope to see ya there, and thanks for taking this long, wild, very emotional ride with me.

I shall bring treats. And fun. And someone's firstborn to pay the Fae with in exchange for a house. ... wait, no, I've been informed there are laws against that last one. Treats and fun then.

Absolute banger opening episode. The original series had so much going for it, and time and the march of technology and technique have only improved this. I'm so stoked to see where this goes.

okay... this floor scene is *terrifying*. Acting, framing, Hikaru's seiyuu *choking* on the way down. Rayearth, for what I remember, is full of whimsy but also *so* bitter sweet. And kind of the first tonal hint "Hey, uh, magic, but the horrors" #mkr #rayearth #spoilers #magicknightrayearth

An illustration and pinup of Y'shtola Rhul from Final Fantasy 14, wearing her mining attire as seen during A Realm Reborn.

Shtola is a dark-skinned catgirl with whitish blonde hair and brilliant green eyes. Her hair is cropped in the back, with two small "puffs" framing the side of her face, one of which rests against her shoulder. Her mining attire is just that: a cat-eared helmet with a light, a red bandana, a vest, baggy pants, a jacket tied around her waist, and some belts and bags strapped to her lower body. She leans forward while exhaling deeply, skin glistening slightly with sweat, and she looks to the viewer with a mischevious smile. Her tail curls into frame, twitching slightly.

Like rich magical worlds with care put into 'em and underlying mystery and conspiracy? How about characters rising from tragedy to discover their own happiness in those settings? We've got those, too!
