High contrast 720nm infrared image of the Racetrack Playa's surface in the Infrared shadow of the mountains behind the point of view. The Eastern mountains of the playa are completely above the shadow line which is perfectly align with the horizon and center of the image. This caused the whole top half of the image with mountains are in bright white and grey tones this a consistent dark grey sky. The bottom half with the playa in shadow is extremely dark but the soft dry lakebed cracks are visible. Then there is a person walking directly at the point of view far out in the distance right between the dark and light sides of the image.
