I think part of many reasons that my art output has been slower the past 2 years is just how exhausting it is trying to (and failing) keep up with an increasingly hostile digital environments. Even if the clients/community are great, the system itself is designed for competition & failure.

Finally drawing itself isn’t the hard part, the hard part is making a character fit in a frame with just the right amount of space while having the frame itself both have motifs the client asks for AND isn’t overpowering the actual character. All in an interesting way ! It’s a lotta thinking lol.

Yeah I 1000% think that society has gotten so hostile that we’re just naturally a bit too guarded and “survival mode” now. I feel like some of us just mentally shut off to recover when we need to & it’s a veryyy tricky balance. Best of luck, I hope u start feeling better soon! It’s not fun! :(
