watched BODY HEAT (1981) last night for movie club, craziest part is that this is Mickey Rourke.

to be clear I like Ben Shelton. But he refuses to step into the court and prefers to live arm his FH 2 feet into the court or 2 feet up from the bottom of the net.

Sure fire sign I'm bored at work is that I've managed to get someone in the Chelsea subreddit who is somehow pro-Fabrizio Romano to reply to a broadly innocuous comment about how he sucks. Dog days of summer etc

Feel completely insane watching the Rafa doc on Netflix. He says "in the basement of failure, there's always one more floor"...RAFA says this about some dumb QF in 2024 in Brisbane. These guys are built completely different.

Do you guys remember The Dent Act? The law that made crime illegal?

Trying to watch this dragon show after The Odyssey and it's tragically mediocre stuff.

Broadly hilarious that England were so shit for 35ish minutes that there's not even memeing about it being a fix for Argentina. Takes some doing to be that ass.

Widow's Bay is not my favorite front to back, it's enjoyable enough, but there's so many hilarious bits in the show. Howling laughing at Patricia's high school classmates book club fawning over The Lovely Bones.

It's my own problem but I straight up cannot be around casual fans when the USMNT or WNT are playing. "Oh just shoot the ball on the goal" I can't be around that I'm sorry.

Donald Trump came one vote away from getting the Supreme Court to say that the 14th Amendment does not guarantee birthright citizenship for the children of undocumented and temporary immigrants, a view held only by fringe far-right nativists until VERY recently. This is shocking. I am stunned.

I tune in to Queens and see Vicky Mboko retire from the match due to a slip and fall gdangit

000

So when WoSo international matches get reffed like this and so much physicality is allowed to happen (all fouls, btw), this is what happens. A budding star gets a serious injury because the threshold for calls from the ref become completely warped.

al @alpostinghere.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

dialing up the flat 120 at 30-30 5-5 what is this 2012. and then the two wide deuce and ad sliders in the game to close out the match! surreal.
