This day was the first ascent by Whymper and team 07.15.1865. The fact is it is still a dangerous mountain as 2 climbers died only this week on their ascent. A successful day in any peak is safely getting home. RIP.

Valais Summer ©️ Fi Photos. Back to rest for a few weeks after capturing some 4,000 metre peaks in 🇨🇭 📸 🏔️ These are the #Dom #Taschhorn and the wonderful Rothorn, the highest peak to go without ropes, guide etc, but remember your water. Rewards in the pub later #Cardinal.
