aaa then i'm sure you're familiar with calder already!! and that exhibition looks amazing, i love to see experiments with space and form. my immediate thought was these spatial sculptures by this one Polish artist Katarzyna Kobro that were the basis for these rooms that now house her exhibiton!!

aa omg!! if you want reccs to look into, Alexander Calder's been such a fav artist of mine lately. he's best known for his kinetic sculptures but i love love LOVE the jewelry he made, it's so beautiful. he even made the wedding ring for his wife, which is just adorable too 😭🩷

oh no, i meant earlier styles!! like byzantine and romanesque, though tbf gothic art is also really fun; i never loved the renaissance much, obviously it's amazing on a technical level, but it never really spoke to me much 🤷 why do you think it "ruined" the idea of what it means to do art??

ohh Tatlin's a good pick!! i think my recent favorites have to be kinetic art and specifically Alexander Calder, but i also love medieval art, fauvism, and post-impressionism, so i'm kind of all over the place 😭 generally if it's bold and a little bit odd, i'll probably like it
