In favor but have 2 concerns(that kinda tie into each other) 1. Custom urls could overlap with people who have similar names: I know 2-3 people called "echo" for ex; idk if ".ink/echo1" is a solition 2. Alias ban removes good faith usages(ex, 2 people having the same nam and aliasing to tell apar)

May not be a satisfactory answer but to me it kinda doesn't magter at all? Most I'll be thinking about is like, "where do I want to stand to cover the most amount of space as possible" ex if its pen explo and the explo goes right I'll be left and chip whoever they go for

If you're scared, you'll never try, and if you never try, how will you grow? To me its kinda like how common art advice is "practice a lot, even if its just a doodle once a day" - if I stay commited and make it a habit, the small gains will add up

I got dmed the other day for my ftiu pickup to arrange a scrim despite that being the rare case that was the one pickup in literal years I didn't organize myself, for ex - I think ppl associate me with that "gets shit done" vibe

Its hard to describe in words but my impression this whole time has been glack as more of an assistant role then "the main person" if that makes any sense? like, you're the main person I see on my feed posting abt the team, so I associate you with 11ft bridge the most, I suppose?

(Important note: the "gym" I go to is actually a branch of the local hospital, and it includes a competition pool sauna hot tub and therapy pool for an all in one package: very convient for me)

this works for smaller gimmick events or one off stuff like smogen starlight but I hesistate to suggest it as a universal thing that would work out if you scaled it up to a major

weapons are a discreet entity that can be singled out and told "you cannot use this" but there is no enforcement mechanism built into the game to force players to do this - on paper someone could play 52 even in an event that bans it and the only recourse is social (canceling the game til they swap)

Alphine 🏳️‍⚧️ @alphineagnitio.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

my stance on this topic is that until nintendo adds the ability to ban weapons in game, its a non starter conversation: we have the ability to do so as a community but the game was never designed with bans mind(and before anyone retorts "but we don't play turf war" thats not the same thing)

If you had unlimited money, personnel, resources, and time, what would you like to produce or see in the Splatoon community?

I yearn for the day where we can replace the online weeklies with in person ones, because half the infrastructure is already here if you piggyback off small buisness owners doing tcg/general nerd buisness

Copy paste the tcg local model Small hobby shops hosting weekly events -> funnel into seasonal regionals hosted by bigger shops -> nintendo sponsored majors across the states and national-style events for eu

I unironically like playing turf war in stuff like NAL, and I also strongly believe the game as it exists is the ultimate judge of how the game is "supposed" to be played. That being said, I probably would play SJ either way, since playing in any major is good practice for where I'm at rn.

imo there's a lot of untapped potential we're leaving on the table by removing elements from the game we find unsavory, so my suggestion to start is to simply add more uncommon mapmode combos - most LANs already have 1 or 2 oddball choices(ex hammerhead for KFS) which I think adds a lot of flavor

get me to watch pokemon vgc, because the reason why I don't watch it has nothing to do with the state of the game, just general disinterest. So, how do we get people interested, then? I would argue the answer is to go the other direction - adding things to the format we've removed from the scene.

I worry this discussion is this version of this image let me use a comp scene I know little about to make my point: pokemon vgc. I don't watch pokemon, I don't play pokemon, but its not necessarily because "I think the meta sucks" and if they went "we banned all the op pokemon 😀" that wouldn't

I don't support banning anything, and would choose to not play if there were bans like this. I believe in playing the game as the developers intended, and would not support events with additional bans. That being said, as things stand now, I am currently looking forward to playing superjump
