Ohh I had some Breton Cidres recently that I would describe as chewy... In a really earthy good way... *Drool* Also, +1 for really obviously home/farm made British scrumpy sold by a grey haired man who looks like he sleeps in a hedge..

As someone who was a kid about Harry's age when they first came out... Have to say I was thoroughly confused by the many adults on their commute reading what I had managed only a few chapters of before throwing it away... Drivel...

Yeah, Modelo has something about it... It's not great, but compared to the rest of this list it's outstanding!

I mean it's a rambling bit of propaganda and I shouldn't overthink it... But what is the "Opposite of genocide"? Is genocide something that has an opposite even? Peacefully influencing a group of people to multiply and prosper?

Ah, from searching the claim from the other side seems to be that they found out the starting point and then threw a metric shit-tonne of compute/tokens at it... So, dirty tactics, but the midweek still did it?

I second marked a dissertation that a colleague gave a glowing mark... I was a few paragraphs in when I started realising nothing was really being said... And a lot was being repeated... I started reading very closely from then on, and then got absolutely furious at the references...

Recent fluctuations are world events, but I think this, youtu.be/0ll9rEtoRrs?... gets to the heat of the longer term trend: defined benefit/final salary pensions slowly stopping being a thing, and this the long term bonds lost a stable buyer who would just buy what they needed. Banks want a profit!

The universe is big, like really big... I say this as a professional observer of the smallest of the small... As humans, I'm not really sure we are capable of truly comprehending either end of the scale. But at least we're trying, which is pretty good for loosely bound flesh bags, with thinking sand

Boots theory is weird these days... I want to follow it... But I can't tell if I'm just buying a cheap boot with a "fancy" name on it anymore because some investment vehicle bought the good boot company hollowed it out and kept the name, but not the quality... Legit issue in my life :'(

Wait until you hear about the old (not that old) Korean age system... Day you are born, you are 1, everyone gains a year on New Year's Day... So, you can be born, very briefly be 1 and then turn two in the eyes of the law... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_As... That is a truly mad system...

Ok, I'd never seen the Voldemort one! That's bad, bad! These are bad editorial/framing decisions... Being the mouthpiece of an absent party is just journalistically terrible... If the presenter wants to ask them questions back, what happens? Nick sends them a WhatsApp? There is no accountability.

I dunno, just reading out whatever Reform sends in feels like a real low, low... There have been other low points (putting Corbyn in front of an image of the Kremlin rings a bell), but not this bad... Also, he's obviously not present in the actual discussion as he's just reading his phone...

I hadn't watched Newsnight in ages (children)... But a few weeks ago Nick was doing exactly the same thing in another live sofa session... It's not serious journalism, it's just a man reading out his messages with minimal journalistic filter..

It has always struck me as weird that the US doesn't have relegation/promotion... The "American Dream" at its rawest... You win, you get glory, you lose, you get relegated... Winners rise up! In the US system. You win, you get glory, but then worse picks next time... You lose, you get first pick...
