Yesterday’s layoffs at Bethesda Games Studios were not a cut of “14 layers of management”. We lost dozens of programmers, artists, designers and testers. Many of whom worked at BGS for decades.

Neat. As if I needed more reasons to hate this administration. Called my vet about protecting my dog from screw worm (I’m in Texas) and they’re like, nothing we have prevents it because it was eradicated before now. I love having yet another thing to worry about. It’s very great.

Regarding the severance offer to federal workers: I’ve seen that before in games. Big company wants to keep its culture a certain way and they offer money for people to leave who don’t align with that culture. Trump is doing this so they can replace people who leave with loyalists.
