10 seconds of a Metro North train as it rounds the corner and hits the last rays of sun over the Hudson River. Headed to Peekskill the other day after a long photo shoot with a client nearby. Needed to clear my head and make some art. The afternoon light and the trains passing by definitely helped.

Another visit to the lovely Lake Sophia at Sojourner Truth State Park in Kingston. This time it was sunny. I made photos and went swimming so it's a win/win. #kingstonny #cpw #longexposure #trichromatic #landscapephotography #photooftheday #lookingaround

Another cool spot in Wallace, Idaho. The town in the center of the universe that visually keeps on giving.

Another trichromatic scene from Wallace, Idaho. Possibly the best town in the USA. Also Center of the Universe.
A long exposure and very colorful photos of I-90 overpass.

A scene from Wallace, Idaho. Possibly the best town in the USA. Also Center of the Universe. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) had to redesign I-90 to bypass downtown because federal law protects historic places from negative effects of highway construction.

Here is the Ro-Ro ship Titania offloading mostly Korean cars at the port of Tacoma. This ship can carry up to 8000 cars! It was quite amazing to see the steady flow of cars driven down to port parking. Sometimes, we look and behave just like ants...

Here are some trichromatic photographs of the mighty 1,243-mile-long Columbia River. Known in Upper Chinook as Wimahl, in Sahaptin as Nch'i-Wàna, and in Sinixt as swah'netk'qhu, this is the largest river in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.

One more from Lake Kachess, Washington: a forty-five minute trichromatic photograph of the other side of the shore. The lake is used as a storage reservoir for the Yakima Project, an irrigation project. Although a natural lake, Kachess Lake's capacity and discharge is controlled by Kachess Dam.

Hazy, hot and smoky - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Coeur d'Alene translates from French to "heart of an awl", a small pointed tool used for piercing leather. The original indigenous inhabitants of the region refer to themselves as the Schitsu'umsh, which translates to "The Discovered People".

Yesterday, attempting to long-expose some last rays of sun washing through the clouds. The rain came and left, then some tourists arrived and I made this photo. A camera on a tripod allows me to look around and see what else is happening. Thinking about a world torn apart yet so full of love.

Found a great spot to photograph in the Hudson Valley: a combination of slight elevation, train tracks, the magnificent river and to top it all - a power plant! Here are some shots. Last photo is a mix of train exposure with my trichromatic technique but I think it's a bit too much in this case.

In 2010, Sixteen years ago today my father, Shimon, passed away. Last year I started scanning some of his slides, photographs he made circa 1965 to 1968, before I was born. To my surprise I found some locations that he photographed then that unbeknownst to me I photographed as well, in 2019.

Visited Rexford NY to see the remnants of the aqueduct crossing the Mohawk River. Hard to believe but boats crossed on this aqueduct. Built in 1842, in operation until 1916. Seems like even though I am done with my Erie Canal Museum artist residency I keep finding great spots to photograph.

Here is my humble homage to brilliant photographer George Tice, who passed away one year ago today. Based on research, I knew the surroundings had changed radically. I decided to make photos all around it and enjoy the feeling of walking and photographing where Tice walked and photographed in 1974.

Around Albany, yesterday. The sky opened up just as I arrived to this location and let me do my trichromatic series of exposures just before the light was gone. This was after a long day of walking around downtown. There is no substitute to walking around with a camera, preferably on a tripod.

Lately I've been in love with pipes and tubes. From our own bodily veins carrying precious blood around to industrial-size pipes. Last week I stopped by the village of Wappingers Falls and discovered this wonderful pipe snaking through and bringing water down to their hydroelectric plant.
