They may not look impressive, but these American pawpaw (Asimina triloba) blossoms make me very happy. I planted this tree from a seed several years ago for the local wildlife. It’s about 9’-10’ tall now, and this is the first year it has borne flowers.

The official 24-hour snowfall record in my native state of Florida is 4” (10 cm), set back in 1954 in Santa Rosa County. Today, parts of Escambia County had reportedly received 5.5” (14 cm) as of an hour ago, and it was still snowing. ❄️
