#PortfolioDay Admittedly, I've been slacking a bit this year due to some burnout...but I'm not giving up.

A digitally colored piece of the Beast Wars Fuzor, Sky Shadow. His beast mode is a lizard/dragonfly hybrid, and his robot mode is something of a mix of the Predator, Green Goblin, and a Zoanoid from Guyver. His right arm is insect-like, with two of his wings forming a massive claw; his left arm has a three-fingered hand coming out the back of the beast mode's lizard head.

I have three. 🧵 1. The Dark Crystal. The Garthim terrified me so much as a kid, I would hide behind my dad's chair when they first awaken. Also, given my short height at the time, the Skeksis felt like adults, the Gelfling like kids; adults aren't supposed to hurt kids, y'know?

I kinda can't mention one without the other, but here's Big Macodon and Jumbo Frankosaurus. 🍔🌭

Big Macodon, a burger-themed kaiju, an expy of King Kong.

Its head is a cheeseburger, with a single large eye and sharp teeth. Its body is composed of burger meat, with pickle and onion ring "armor plates" along the arms and legs, cheese "scales" along on its belly, sharp spines made of fries, fingers and toes made of tater tots.

Jumbo Frankosaurus, a hot dog-themed kaiju, an expy of Godzilla.

The length of its body and tail, shoulders, and legs are composed of hot dogs in buns with a line of mustard squiggled on them, and its large, robust arms are corndogs (also with a line of mustard), with the "stick" being a long elbow spike.

Last night my friend @pyroashes.bsky.social had me do a quick comm of their fennec fox OC, Zimmer! #furry

My first one was a My Melody/Mothra. Fitting, because the original Mothra film was my first kaiju movie. :3 Then I ended up getting the full set a few days ago. These are great.

I made this thing back in 2022, completely out of Perler beads (this was before I got my 3D printer). He stands about 30 inches tall. The chest plate is also removable, to reveal the Matrix (which was made with glowy beads).

I did get one more goody before the show wrapped up - the complete series of Ultraman Ace! But yeah, with that, my first Planet Anime has ended, and it was loads of fun! Time to chill one more night in the hotel, then back to home. But I'll be back for Planet Comicon in April! #PlanetAnime

I'll be real, I've been going through some burnout. It's why I've been doing a bunch of sketchbook doodles opposed to full-fledged pieces as of late. It'll pass. I'm gonna go to a con with friends in September, and I feel that'll give me the much needed refresh.
