It highlights the enabling conditions that public authorities can create: funding, regulatory frameworks, capacity-building and cross-sector collaboration, so that #CCIs can move from inspiring climate narratives to delivering measurable, scalable change on the ground.

This first #policybrief distils what we are learning from Cultural and Artistic Social Enterprises #CASEs - our five #transformationsites - as they prototype #sustainable business models “in, with, and through” #arts and #culture.

almenaravejer.bsky.social @almenaravejer.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

Why is THIS Policy Brief vital at THIS moment? For #EMCCINNOproject, this matters because the climate transition is not only technological, it is also organisational, cultural, and social.

almenaravejer.bsky.social @almenaravejer.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

Its job is to frame a concrete policy problem, explain why it matters in the current policy context, and propose actionable recommendations that are backed by evidence and written in plain language for policymakers.

A policy brief is a bridge between what we know and what we do: a short, focused document that translates robust evidence into clear, realistic actions that decision-makers can take now.

#EMCCINNO #policybrief #culturedrivesclimateaction We’re presenting the EMCCINNO’s first #policybrief: "Beyond Tech Fixes, Culture Drives Climate Action" What is a policy brief and why is important right now? We'll explain here :) @emccinno.bsky.social @greenformation.bsky.social @univ-amu.fr

· Empower place-based & participatory action: Fund and legitimise territorial co-creation.

almenaravejer.bsky.social @almenaravejer.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

· Recognise #CASEs in climate governance: Seats at the table, consultative bodies, co-design.

100

almenaravejer.bsky.social @almenaravejer.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

· Adapt climate funding: Eligibility + criteria that allow #CASEs to access climate funds.

100

almenaravejer.bsky.social @almenaravejer.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

· Coordinate cross-sector policy: Break silos climate/culture/social economy/territories.

#EMCCINNO project is already exploring the conditions under which Cultural and Artistic Social Enterprises #CASEs can contribute to #climatetransition. Our first #policybrief offers #recommendations on how public policies could support the appearance of these conditions: CARE Policy Framework

#EMCCINNO #policybrief #culturedrivesclimateaction We’re presenting the EMCCINNO’s first #policybrief: "Beyond Tech Fixes, Culture Drives Climate Action" Without #culture, the transition won’t be fair or viable. Culture must be structurally integrated into #climatepolicy.
