(Amanda) Auntie Rachel usually brings her special camera when she comes to the allotments but she didn't have it with her this week. She took this photo of me with her phone. Betty said that years ago phones were just used for talking to other humans with. Do you think taking photos is good?

(Amanda) I look really small in front of Uncle Mick's giant pumpkin don't I? He's growing it for the Giant Pumpkin Competition. Uncle Andy is growing one too but I haven't seen his. They will be weighed soon and I'll let you know who wins.

(Amanda) Even though the weather is getting colder there are still things growing in the Big Greenhouse. She changed the compost in a pot. She told me the plant's name but it was very long and difficult for me to remember. It sounded something like Cris and the mum. Have you ever heard of that?

(Maurine) I went to see Betty inside the Big Greenhouse yesterday. She thought I had gone to see her but she was wrong. I wanted the Dreamies I knew she would give me! She noticed that I had a little scratch on my nose. I haven't been fighting. There are scratchy plants all over the allotments

(Janet) 1 of 2 Auntie Sammy has been giving me my evening meal recently. Sometimes she brings cooked chicken with her and I love that. I eat the chicken first and then start on the sachet. My life has changed so much since I moved to live on Colin's plot.

(Betty) It's 4 years today since lovely Red Fred left us to join his best friend E.T. 🌈 Red Fred was E.T.'s carer and was always by her side, helping her to walk. He must have beendevastated when she died and only a month later he joined her. 🌈 Rest in Peace sweet boy, you'll never be forgotten.

(Amanda) I've always loved scratching Colin's tyres. It's probably not a good thing to do but he doesn't mind. I only do a little bit every morning and I'm sure I'm not damaging them. Betty says that I could get away with murder! That's a strange thing to say, isn't it?

(Janet) Amanda often comes to my plot. I'd like to think she was coming to see me but I don't think she is. She follows Colin. Aunite Rachel took this photo of her watching me, but she doesn't come close. The other day she hissed at me as I walked past. Betty said she can be a bit of a Madam.

(Amanda) I found this plant growing on Janet's plot yesterday. Betty thinks it's a CatNip plant. She thinks the wind blew the seeds onto the plot and they just grew where they landed. I nibbled it and rubbed my face in it. It was lovely! Janet will have a lovely surprise when she finds it!

(Amanda) Maurine and I had our breakfast together yesterday. I noticed that he ate very quickly and finished before I did. Then he sat and watched me. I moved away as soon as I'd had enough and of course, he rushed over and finished it for me. He never leaves any food in his bowl.

(Janet) Auntie Rachel took this photo of Betty stroking me. I've known Betty and Colin all my life. I feel comfortable with them and I always like them to stroke me. I never used to go near to any other human but I've changed as I've got older. I might even let them stroke me.

(Amanda) You know Betty said there was a problem with her computer yesterday? I found out that the problem was with her! She needed to use a 'password' and put the wrong one in. Then the computer started asking herquestions and she got confused. Luckily her son Al helped her to sort it out.

(Amanda) I went to Colin's plot yesterday and had a look at these cabbages. I didn't like the smell of them and I've heard that they smell even worse when they are cooked. Why do humans like such weird vegetables? Betty says they are not weird and I am too fussy. Do you think I'm fussy?

(Amanda) I noticed these new plants in the Big Greenhouse. They look just like grass and I thought it was strange that Betty was growing grass. Then she told me they were called Spring Onions. I thought that was strange too because it's Autumn now, not Spring. Sometimes gardening is weird!

(Amanda) Auntie Chrissie was talking to Betty in the Big Greenhouse yesterday. I jumped up onto her lap as I usually do. She wasn't holding me on so I thought it would be a good idea to grip her leg with my claws. Oops! I didn't intend to make her leg bleed but she didn't seem to mind too much.

(Amanda) When Betty saw this photo that Auntie Sammy took she thought I was sitting on a deck chair. I had no idea what a deck chair was but she explained it to me. It's just a long cushion on a bench in the veranda. Photos can be a bit confusing somethimes, can't they?

(Maurine) What's the matter with Amanda? She watches me all the time, especially when I'm eating. I think she's impressed by my appetite and how quickly I eat. I don't mind. I just concentrate on the food and ignore her. That's the best thing to do, isn't it?

(Janet) Colin had an appointment and couldn't come to feed us so Auntie Sammy came instead. I was a bit shy at first but then I realised that she was a kind human and I got over it. She stayed near me while I ate and talked to me all the time. Betty says I'm getting mellow in my old age.

(Amanda) I was having a relaxing time sitting with Uncle Andy in the veranda. All of a sudden there was a lot of noise outside. It sounded like birds were having an argument. I would have told them off but Uncle Andy told me not to get involved. He said they're parakeets and they're always noisy.

(Maurine) I'm getting a bit fed up of hearing Amanda complaining that I eat all her food. I only eat what she leaves in the bowl and I can't help it if she stops eating when she sees me. I'm not interested in her, only in the food. I'm a big boy and I've got a big appetite.

(Janet) It's hard to beleive that E.T. went to 🌈 4 years ago. I used to see her sometimes, always with Red Fred. She had a problem with walking and he stayed close to her and made sure she didn't fall over. He followed her to 🌈just a few weeks later. We will never forget them.

2/3 I stayed near the Big Greenhouse. Betty came looking for me and had two followers with her. I let them make a fuss of me and they kept saying how beautiful I was. The followers brought some lovely gifts for us. I wish I had stayed in the veranda, but as Betty says, you can't put the clockback.

(Amanda) 1/3 I think all the Followers who came to Rainbow Day yesterday were very happy with the day. Uncle David and Auntie Pip worked hard to make it a special day. Auntie Chrissie made refreshments for the visitors and I think they enjoyed them.

(Amanda) Betty read somewhere that if you grow flowers near your vegetables they will keep the nasty pests off them. So she planted these marigolds next to the chilli plants in the Big Greenhouse. It didn't work. The nasty insects still went on the chillies but the chillies didn't seem to mind.
