Same here! And this specific one was such a banger. Just bring me back to 2008 so I can feel something again.

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

SAAAAAAAME! There was absolutely no reason not to include them. But I guess everything had to be made sterile and enshittified.

I'm so scared for my friends. Things are way worse this time around with Trump wanting to meddle in Brasil. Back in 2018 it didn't feel as dire as this time.

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

The presidency is going to a second round of voting, which means there's still a chance, but the Brazilian senate is now filled with far right members which will basically stall anything they don't aprove of.

110

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I'm optimistic. I think they'll do the right thing again. But it sucks to think there's been a member of the Bolsonaro family in the last 3 elections for that country. The far right really has been a cancer for society in the last 10 years.

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Some of you might've seen me mention in Onsta's chat that I have a special bond with Brasil, although I'm not from there. Today, my heart and soul is rooting for them in yet another election where right wing authoritanism is threatening to gain power. Hate will not prevail. Viva Lula. Viva o Brasil!

I only have two decks that I built myself and they are incredibly far from optimal. It's a Maralen deck and a Krenko deck, both of which have a hard time against precons because of a lack of powerful cards and wincons.

000

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Mtg arena has helped me a lot with understanding deck building a bit better, even though it's got a limited set of cards. To me, it's the best way to try standard. With the brawl format (a variant of commander) you can always test the waters when it comes to brewing 100 card decks.

000

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Commander, while not the best format to start with, does make things a bit more fun. But I'm actually a big fan of 60 card formats. Only online, though, because I'd have to sell my organs to afford the standard decks I like to use.

110

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Sorry for the barrage of information, but like most things in MTG, it does take a while to explain.

000

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Once you run out of packs, you pick cards from your pool to build a 40 card deck. I understand that this format feels a bit fairer than sealed (which is when you do the same thing, but you open x packs and build a deck with whatever you get in said packs) but I've had the worst luck when drafting

010

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Then, after opening your first pack and picking your first card, you pass that pack to another player, while you get another pack passed to you. You then repeat that process until the opened packs run out of cards. Then you open another pack and do it all over again.

010

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Draft is a format where you and a group of players pass around packs and pick cards one at a time to build a deck. Everyone gets to open like 3 packs, so you get a chance at picking the highest rarity card.

010

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Then, in true 21st century climate crisis fashion, I either go through mana flood or drought. Or I get the wrong colors. I only do it in MTG Arena because it's the only way I can do it for "free".

021

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I understand there's strategy to it, and I totally see how it can be a fun format if you really know what you are doing, but my personal experience with drafting has been 0/10. If I find a bomb, it's not in my colors, and if I pick a rare all the good cards after that one are in different archetypes

100

allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social @allmyheroesaredeaf.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I don't know how many of you might relate to this, but words cannot express how much I hate drafting in Magic The Gathering.
