I'm curious to hear some constitutional law folks' insight on the constitutionality of the alleged Guantanamo detention center. I have some memory of the Guantanamo line of cases, but interested in hearing from the con law nerds in my feed!

Like many immigration lawyers, I'm tempted to cite chapter and verse on why this is wrong TECHNICALLY. But I need to remind myself to lead with the moral truth that more people already know. Immigrants are our neighbors, our colleagues, our friends and most Americans know that.

The administration is framing normal ICE operations as part of the "mass deportation." Prepare, educate yourself, but don't fall for it. It is being used to create fear and make us less effective.

The Trump administration talks a big game about supporting survivors of human trafficking. Trying to find a way to hold them to that. Tough to explain why they want to categorically eliminate T Visas.
