Local elections are about local issues. There’s a lot of noise around national politics and who's up in the national polls right now. But on 7th May, you’re voting for the local people who make decisions right here in our community, not the parties who are popular (or not...) on the national stage.
“A graphic about the May local elections on Thursday 7th May 2026 explaining that voters are choosing local councillors, not MPs or national government. It contrasts national issues like immigration and the NHS with local responsibilities such as roads, street cleaning, parks, housing, children’s services and community safety, and encourages people to focus on local issues when voting.”

Safer streets start with small, practical action. We run regular school parking patrols to challenge dangerous and inconsiderate parking — helping keep children and residents safe. More stories coming on what Dani Davies & Stacy Hart are doing locally 👇 🗳️ Vote All In on 7th May

Wonderful initiative in Old Downs. This carers cafe is for any unpaid carers giving a chance to have a cuppa, cake and a chat with no pressure and no agenda. Sunday 26th April at the Café in the Park.
A bright orange poster advertising a “Carer café.” The text invites unpaid carers to “come by for a brew and a breather.” The event is called “Café in the Park” and takes place on Sunday 26th April from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Additional text explains it’s a relaxed space for local carers with “no agenda, no pressure,” offering tea, cake, conversation, or quiet time. It encourages people to drop in for as long as they need.

The design includes soft rounded shapes and small decorative illustrations such as a steaming cup, a cupcake, and sparkles.
