Oh hey I modeled some sunglasses for this VRC model I'm using for RP stuff! (Nawvira by Nawty on Jinxxy) She changes between an anime style dragon girl and a furry style dragon girl. I mean... glasses, right? Nothing else to see here.

They've responded in the past 30 minutes to say it's being escalated to a different team. Having run support teams there's a 60% chance it's legit. With a new hardware rollout we often had dedicated groups handling common issues to standardize workflow. Anyway, timer reset for a couple days.

Me: I'm gonna make a sci-fi feeling field injector for fun real fast. Me (a couple hours later): And it's called the "Happy Juice Nanomixer". The infomercials are gonna be great.

I'm now 2 days with no response. Honestly if I don't get a response by tomorrow afternoon that points to a replacement, I'm requesting a refund. I don't want them riding out two weeks and then going "Well now you *can't* refund it because 2 week window." Hey @steampowered.com wtf?

Wow. Someone pinged me in a post because they couldn't DM me so I started doing my checks and HOLY CRAP IS STUFF BUSTED AROUND HERE TODAY. Anyway, if you tried to reach me and couldn't, I still have DMs open. Go ahead and ping me in a post so I'll see it next time I check.

Okay I'm not out of place here right? This just feels like a runaround on a nearly $1500 piece of equipment that died after 1 day? I get they'd like to do diagnostics but I'm not tearing it apart for them and they can run all the diagnostics they want when they get it back and send me a new one.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Steam Frame.

If you're able to, please submit a system report by visiting Steam Settings > System > Advanced > Create Report and following the instructions there. The included logs will be helpful to investigate the issue further.

I generated and submitted a report. I'd send you the copy I saved to desktop but unfortunately since Valve decided not to let the frame access the KDE desktop or attach files from inside Steam or allow you to launch the desktop version of Steam on the desktop, I can't send you that one.

Regardless, while I understand this is part of your troubleshooting procedure, this is an almost $1500 device that stopped working after 1 day. When can I expect an RMA?

Anyway, back in the real for a bit since the Frame died (already contacted Support. Should be an easy RMA. Will report back but if you want details reply and tell me.) So I made some nice sour cream pancakes. I even used flour instead of almond flour for extra normalcy. Seriously good though ^.^

A little stack of home made pancakes with a drizzle of syrup.

Might be quiet a bit I'm a bit over an hour in Control Resonant and I'm sold. Fuck yes, Remedy doing Action well. Frame is supposed to show up today and I kinda hope it shows up later rather than earlier so I don't have to make decisions. Then I have to finish avatar by Sunday for VR LARP

🔞Allie Blue Shift - Compressed Light Reading @allie.blue · 24/09/2026

I had a post to make before bed but I messed it up and then AtProtoplasm at it and now I don't care and I'm going to bed. Night! It was something about progress on this avatar. She's not done. I'm only making accessories. (mask, backpack, speaker drones) but I love her.

Tomorrow is gonna be wild. Control Resonant unlocks and then supposedly my frame is coming in. Fuck. I gotta get Unity stuff done today cuz otherwise there's no way this is gonna be functional by Sunday and I gotta get it done before tabletop tonight *lol*

It's really weird when bigots hold up Gears of War as an example of "When games were masculine and not gay" My brother in Baphomet, I was there and I'm pretty sure Marcus was spending his off time riding the Cole Train down his tracks.

I built a quick stylized tanktop for my little ex-mil LARP bot for VRC. Now making tourist shirt decals based on suggested phrases from discord Two tonight: My phrase: "I survived the fuckpocalypse and all I got was this shirt" And from suggestion: "Tell your eyes to stop staring at my tits."

"I survived the Fuckpocalypse and all I got was this stupid shirt."

Most of the text is in a damaged red font. "Fuckpocalypse" is in a white comic lettering font with a red outline. The background has white splatters.

"Tell your eyes to stop staring at my tits"

"Tell your eyes" is a block inside a stylized magnifying glass.
The rest of the phrase is in much smaller text, forcing the reader to lean into the wearer's tits to read it.

Goooood Morning! Are you saying a robot made this Omurice? (no it was me but I used my little rectangular pan) Been obsessing over making parts for a vrchat avatar for a LARP thing. Gonna have to relearn and learn some Unity stuff for this. What are you working on?

The filling, leftover fried rice with some extra bacon added.

Once again I go look at games, see one that seems neat. No AI disclosure, run a quick check and find the devs explaining they used AI for writing dialogue but don't feel they have to report it on Steam because it's just a tool. In this case the game is Dimraeth:

A screenshot from Discord.

Joseph: The dialogue is assisted on what the author writes - that does not require a label on Steam and falls under tooling use of AI.

Dizz now has a new routine since she walks the house. When I go cook breakfast, Trouble joins me in hopes of dropped scraps. Dizz takes a nap under my desk and when I get back to the chair takes the cushion and demands rubs... enthusiastically.

Was feeling lazy this morning. Didn't sleep well. Woke up with a minor leg cramp in the middle of the night. So I decided on oatmeal. 10 minutes later this was happening. I suck at being lazy some times.

Morning everybody! Tamagoyaki attempt 2. Shifted my ratios a bit by smell, better texture, less sweet. Overall, a noticeable improvement all around. Not perfect on rolling. I tend to have issues starting the roll each pass. New technique! We'll get it down. Still tastes good though!😊

New topic. Does anyone remember in the early 90s Rob Liefeld decided to give a major character HIV? And he didn't catch it. Chapel was given HIV by the government as a weaponized means of control. He couldn't give his characters feet, but he thought giving them special government AIDS was cool.

Has anyone tested if you can run initface under SteamOs? @buttplug.engineer Do we have any idea if you can use the Steam Frame as a relay while running games from the PC in SteamVR like you can the Quest 3? These are the important questions for new hardware *lol*

So where was the threat in the phrase "I wish Rowling ill" that caused a wave of bans? Is it a threat? No. It doesn't mention a form of harm like say, a concentration camp. Since your supposition is that context isn't applicable, please explain how Blue Sky decided to ban trans people over it.

Today's amusement: Watching just how not fussed most of the steam frame community is about the lottery today because so much of it has just gone "well... I don't know why I expected a different machine but I did." But then there are people in the corner pulling out their hair hoping they get it.

Why is Nintendo so obsessed with vore anyway? - Yoshi's entire shtick was eating critters. - Kirby exists - Now Samus. Nintendo wants vore to be the defining mechanic of major series and I wanna know why. Is there a huge clandestine stack of not just porn but *vore porn* at their design studio?

Checking more things on Steam Frame. You know what else is missing? hand tracking... and you're unlikely to get really good hand tracking without some accessories. Right now it just doesn't exist software wise. The external cameras are not good, so when it *does* exist... you get the point.

Yeah... this is really simple atm but damn it has a vibe. That pink glowy is the human scale placeholder for this build. I wanted a hint of megastructure. I want the train actually showing up and passing by occasionally. That part is easy. I want it to cause people who get hit to respawn though.

Gonna put this out here. Remember that when you're desperate for the new bling that the Steam Frame doesn't even reach parity with a Quest3 for 1K. Keep in mind that I want one. I just know exactly why I want it and superior streaming or vrchat right now aren't it. It being near open source is.

The funniest part of the Steam Frame thing is people putting it on their fucking throne. We know at least some of these are scams right? They're gonna get it funded and then 'not get the lottery so I guess I'll cash out until I can' and that'll be the run with it.

Well, Steam Frame announced. Reviews all seem to end up coming together to say "Glad this exists but I don't know who should buy it vs a Quest 3 at half the cost." Signed up for the lotto but not sure I'll get one if I get it. Meh battery, LCD panels, and eye tracking worries (below). (cont)
