maybe complaints from JP folk will force a fix, or maybe ININ's so far gone that it's not even possible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ya might wanna wait til the usual intl update time (8hrs from now or so) to see if it gets patched then, give or take a few weeks because ININ's never been especially punctual

as for why Rainbow Islands CS is ports-only: basically, they thought (& were proven very right by ININ) that Parasol+Spica wouldn't be enticing enough on their own or together, so they threw together CS as an extra value-add that wouldn't overlap with existing reissues & could be sold globally

Japan's also just now getting Parasol Stars & Spica Adventure standalone on PS4+5 Rainbow Islands CS is Switch-only & will roll out worldwide in 12hrs or so: in addition to the usual perks & gadgets, they've edited the BGM where necessary, including replacing the PCECD's ED with a brand-new song

from the rip, they were quick to downplay the obvious comparisons to Umi no Nushi Tsuri (Legend of the River King) &/or other quasi-RPG/slow-life games—there's a little of that in there, particularly in terms of structure, but the intent was to make a hardcore vanilla fishing sim, with...

not to harp on it but this is a game that I think would've had a much larger footprint (& larger than than of nominally similar, recently-buzzing micom games like Dead of the Brain or Laplace no Ma) if the PCECD version didn't absolutely smother the vibes (to say nothing of recent developments...)

oh yeah, I should mention that the previous X360 ports were Japan-only, so these'll be particularly fresh to a lot of ppl btw, this isn't the first time they've been reissued globally: they were on that dogshit Antstream cloud app for a while, playable at 42p with ninety frames of lag
