Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 12hAbsolutely. I’m starting to believe we have some really thick fans. 120
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 13hNot very happy to see a fair amount of comment on here about RLB being on shaky ground regarding his job. For goodness sake, every club goes through spells like this. He’s not suddenly a crap manager. Get off his back and support him. #SAFC 270
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I suppose we have to admit that this Brighton team is very good, too easy to judge them on their fairly non-eventful history. They’re a top club now, but still bitterly disappointing to lose in this way. We really do need to sort this out. On to the next one and hoping for much, much more. #SAFC 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I totally agree Hilary. Totally unnecessary pressure and workload on players. 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Very surprised to hear of the departure of Tom Burwell. I’ve never really understood his role, initially a temporary CEO, then transitioning without any fanfare to permanent CEO. Seems KLD will become more hands-on in the day-to-day running of the club. Things don’t stand still, even for a moment. 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 16/09/2026It’s nights like this that show just how much we love this club. All the lows and now brilliant highs! 111
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 15/09/2026James Copley: They laughed at Sunderland and we lived through it. Wednesday is yours – enjoy every second…… Take a look at the Echo online, James is a wonderful writer, and this article sums everything up perfectly, particularly for those of us who were there 53 years ago. #SAFC 0143
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Yes. That’s a strange one considering gambling logos are banned front of shirt, but not, it seems, on the sleeves! 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Must admit, the kits look great without the sponsor. But if a deal is worth millions…. 110
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 15/09/2026The Echo is reporting that the ‘Visit Ghana’ front of shirt sponsorship has stalled. While recognising the importance of increased revenue, I’m not unhappy about this - it didn’t sit easily with me at all. #SAFC 260
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 14/09/2026We have come such a long way, and we’ve really got to celebrate what we have at the moment. It’s so exciting. I won’t be at the SOL, but I was at Roker all those years ago for the Vasas and Sporting Lisbon matches. Can’t describe how happy I am that we’re in Europe again. #SAFC 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Thought Ahoka and Talbi were pure class tonight. A great goal from Talbi, and Ahoka looks to be a real find. #SAFC 071
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Certainly talented, but I’m happy to see him go. Either Talbi or his agent wants to go. If it’s to Saudi then all they are doing is chasing the money sadly. 100
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Wouldn’t be surprising to find an agent behind this. 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Suspect you’re right Michelle. The lure of more money? Who knows. 110
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 03/09/2026So what is it with Talbi? Does he want to leave because he wasn’t named in the Europa League squad, or was he left out of the squad because he’s told the club he wants to leave? Never saw this one coming. #SAFC 300
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 02/09/2026The Fofana saga probably summed up the modern football transfer. He couldn’t decide where to go, or much more likely, his agents couldn’t decide where he should go. You have to wonder what must have happened to push them in our direction. I’ll think of that when he scores and kisses the badge. #SAFC 111
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I certainly remember, though I’ve tried my very best to forget that awful season. A nightmare, wasn’t it! 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026James Copley has now said this: Sunderland are now trying to reverse-hijack Malick Fofana’s proposed move to Crystal Palace. This really is the saga of all sagas. 120
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026James Copley pretty much saying he’s likely heading to London, but no, nothing definite yet. 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Bloody hell. I’d forgotten about him. Probably a good job I had forgotten to be honest 😂 100
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026To those of you panicking over lack of last-minute signings, I have just two words. WILL. GRIGG. No signings is a better position than poor signings. We’ve got a great recruitment team that won’t compromise the financial stability of the club for the sake of grabbing headlines. #SAFC 250
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/09/2026The online reaction to us losing out on Fofana is ridiculous. If his head is turned by the prospect of going to London then he’s no use to us anyway. Players who won’t put their heart and soul into SAFC are a complete waste of time. #SAFC 370
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Totally agree with you. We’re still ‘work in progress’ but to say we were poor is wide of the mark. Some people have unrealistic expectations, but this is developing into a very very good team. 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Thought Nordi was immense today. What a player he is. #SAFC 2151

Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 26/08/2026This is a worrying move. He’s simply not a Sunlun player. It might end in tears. Just hope I’m wrong. 110
Reposted by Allan GormleyMatt Wilson @redtelephonebox.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I see Ahoka has been confirmed but nothing from @safc.com or local journalists on BlueSky. Seems people are turning their back on this platform now we’re into the new season which is a real shame #SAFC 3111
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I agree, it’s a real shame. I’m not prepared to go back to Twitter, it’s just full of people I would cross the road to avoid. Would love more comment on here from Sunlun journalists. 130
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Amazing how when the day started I was full of optimism, and now I feel really crap. Football does this. It’s how we respond that matters the most. #SAFC 041
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I rarely harbour grudges, but I’ll always remember that night, and will probably always dislike them for it! 021
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Yes. They clearly thought the eleven who came on would walk the premier league! 010
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Absolutely. Trump is today denying all knowledge, but it’s inconceivable that Infantino could do a deal with Trump’s family without Trump’s knowledge. The whole thing was about enriching some already very rich people, and had absolutely nothing to do with developing the people’s game. 100
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 01/08/2026That’s truly staggering. The level of corruption exceeds belief. 100

Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 31/07/2026FIFA seems to have morphed into a commercial brand, hence FIFA World Cup as opposed to simply World Cup. So no real surprise at their current wave of crap. They need to understand that a World Cup without Europe will be meaningless trash. No returns for opportunistic investors there. 000
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Well done UEFA for standing up to the bullying antics of FIFA. Football belongs to the people, it must never be devastated and destroyed in the interests of shareholder profits. Hope the rest of the world joins with UEFA. Surely time for Infantino to go. 012
Allan Gormley @allangormley.bsky.social · 27/07/2026I agree, incredible. One paper (probably the Mail, but I’m not sure) said Lpool ‘hammered’ us, causing great concern for KLD! A lot of ‘click bait’ empty-headed headline seekers around, unfortunately! 110
